South Harrison Township is a small community in Gloucester County, in the state of New Jersey. It is a township, which is a type of local government area.
In 2020, about 3,395 people lived here. This was a small increase from 2010. The township was officially created on March 2, 1883. It was formed from parts of Harrison Township. Later, in 1891, Elk Township was also formed from parts of South Harrison.

Elementary School Education
Younger students, from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, go to the South Harrison Township School District. They attend South Harrison Township Elementary School. In the 2020–21 school year, there were 315 students. There was about one teacher for every 10 students.
Middle and High School Education
Students in seventh through twelfth grade attend schools in the Kingsway Regional School District. This district also serves students from nearby towns. These towns include East Greenwich Township, Swedesboro, and Woolwich Township. Students from Logan Township also attend the high school.
The Kingsway Regional School District has two schools. Kingsway Regional Middle School serves grades 7–8. Kingsway Regional High School serves grades 9–12. In 2020–21, the district had 2,868 students.
Vocational and Technical Education
Students from across Gloucester County can apply to the Gloucester County Institute of Technology. This school is in Deptford Township. It offers technical and vocational training. Students do not pay tuition to attend this public school.

Several important roads cross South Harrison Township.
- Route 45 is also called Woodstown-Mullica Hill Road. It runs southwest to northeast through the township.
- County Route 538 is known as Swedesboro Road. It crosses the northern part of the township.
- County Route 581 is called Commissioners Pike. It runs from the south to the north.
