Tetracoccus is a group of plants, also known as a genus, that belongs to the plant family called Picrodendraceae. You might hear plants from this group called Shrubby-spurge.
A scientist named Charles Christopher Parry first described this plant group in 1885. The name Tetracoccus comes from Greek words. "Tetra" means "four," and "kokkos" means "kernel" or "grain." So, the name means "four seed."
