The Robonic Stooges is a fun Saturday morning cartoon show. It stars the famous characters from The Three Stooges. In this show, they are clumsy cyborg superheroes who fight crime.

The show was made by Hanna-Barbera Productions. It first aired on CBS from September 10, 1977, to March 18, 1978. It had two parts: The Robonic Stooges and Woofer & Wimper, Dog Detectives.

The Robonic Stooges first appeared as a small part of another show called The Skatebirds. This was from September 10, 1977, to January 21, 1978. When The Skatebirds ended, The Robonic Stooges got its own half-hour show. This new show ran for 16 episodes.

This was the second cartoon series to feature the Stooges. The first one was The New 3 Stooges in 1965. In 2021, it was announced that The Robonic Stooges would become a comic book series. New stories are being published by American Mythology Productions.

Meet the Robonic Stooges: Who Are They?

The main characters are Moe, Larry, and Curly. They are superheroes who work from a junkyard. They fight bad guys using their special bionic powers. But their powers often go wrong, which makes for funny situations!

Their boss is Agent 000 (pronounced "Oh-Oh-Oh"). He gives them missions using a film projector. Agent 000 often gets very frustrated with the Stooges' silly mistakes. He runs the Superhero Employment Agency.

Voice Actors: Who Played the Characters?

The original actors who played The Three Stooges had passed away before this cartoon was made. So, new voice actors were chosen to sound like them. These actors were very experienced.

Unlike many Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the 1970s, The Robonic Stooges did not use a laugh track. This means you won't hear canned laughter in the background.

Previous Stooges Cartoons

This was the second cartoon show based on The Three Stooges. The first was The New 3 Stooges in 1965. That show actually used the voices of the real Stooges. Norman Maurer, who was married to Moe Howard's daughter, helped create both cartoon series. He used to be the Stooges' agent.

The Stooges also appeared in another Hanna-Barbera show called The New Scooby-Doo Movies in 1972. In that show, they were Moe, Larry, and Curly Joe.

Here are the main voice actors for the show:
