Trinity Rain Moyer-Rodman (born May 20, 2002) is an American professional soccer player. She plays as a forward for the Washington Spirit team in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Trinity also plays for the United States national team.
Trinity was chosen second by the Washington Spirit in the 2021 NWSL Draft. She was 18 years old, making her the youngest player ever picked in the NWSL draft at that time. In her first season in 2021, she helped her team win the NWSL Championship. She also won awards like NWSL Rookie of the Year and was named to the NWSL Best XI (a team of the best players).
In 2021, Trinity was named the U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year. The next year, she joined the senior national team. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, she scored three goals. The United States team won a gold medal there.

Trinity Rodman's Early Life
Trinity Rodman was born in Newport Beach, California. Her mother is Michelle Moyer, and her father is Dennis Rodman, a famous former basketball player. Trinity and her brother, DJ Rodman, were mostly raised by their mother in Southern California.
Trinity started playing soccer when she was four years old. She said that soccer "felt like home" to her even when she was very young. Her mother and sister encouraged her to follow her dream of becoming a professional soccer player.
Playing Club Soccer
Trinity began playing club soccer with a team called SoCal Blues when she was ten. Her team was very successful, winning four national championships in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). They even had a five-year streak where they did not lose any games.
Trinity went to Corona del Mar High School for one year. Then she moved to JSerra Catholic High School but did not play soccer for the school team.
Trinity first planned to play college soccer for the UCLA Bruins. However, she decided to join her older brother at the Washington State Cougars for the 2020 season. She never played a college game because her first season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, she decided to become a professional player instead.
Trinity Rodman's Club Career
At 18, Trinity Rodman made history as the youngest player ever drafted into the NWSL. The Washington Spirit chose her as their first pick, second overall, in the 2021 NWSL College Draft. Before being drafted, Trinity had never visited Washington, D.C.
First Season with Washington Spirit
On April 10, 2021, Trinity played her first professional game in a 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup match. She scored a goal within five minutes of entering the game! She played in all four of the Spirit's games during the Challenge Cup. She also helped her team win against Racing Louisville FC by assisting on the winning goal.
During the 2021 NWSL season, Trinity was the second-highest scorer for the Spirit, with seven goals. The team finished third in the regular season and made it to the playoffs. Trinity scored a goal in the Spirit's 2–1 win against OL Reign, which sent them to the final.
In the final, the Spirit played against Chicago Red Stars. Trinity helped her team win their first league championship by assisting on the winning goal scored by Kelley O'Hara. At 19, Trinity became the youngest player in the league to get an assist in the playoffs.
Awards and New Contract
On November 17, 2021, Trinity was named NWSL Rookie of the Year and was also chosen for the NWSL Best XI. The next month, she received the U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year award.
On February 2, 2022, Trinity signed a new contract with the Washington Spirit. This contract was reported to be worth $1.1 million, making her the highest-paid player in NWSL history at the time.
In August 2022, Trinity was nominated for the Ballon d'Or Féminin, a very important award in soccer. She was also nominated for the Best Breakthrough Athlete ESPY Award.
During the 2023 season, Trinity continued to play well. She scored a goal and made an assist against San Diego Wave. She also scored a goal early in a game against Racing Louisville FC on June 3.
Trinity Rodman's International Career
Trinity Rodman has played for the United States on several national teams: the senior team, the under-20 team, and the under-17 team.
Youth National Teams
She played in the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay and had one assist. In 2020, she scored nine goals, including four against Honduras and two against Mexico in the final. She helped the United States win the 2020 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship. She was nominated for the U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year award in 2020 and won it in 2021.
Senior National Team Debut
In January 2022, Trinity was called to the senior national team's training camp for the first time. She made her debut for the national team on February 17, 2022, in a game against the Czech Republic. She scored her first goal for the national team on April 12, 2022, in a friendly game against Uzbekistan. In June 2022, Trinity was chosen for the U.S. team for the 2022 CONCACAF W Championship.
In June 2023, Trinity was named to the U.S. team for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Before the World Cup, she scored two goals in a friendly game against Wales on July 9. She was named Woman of the Match and became the youngest player to score two goals in a game for the team. The coach described her second goal as "world class."

Trinity played in her first World Cup game during the team's opening match against Vietnam, which they won 3–0.
Olympic Gold Medal
On June 26, 2024, Trinity was one of 18 players chosen to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She scored two goals in the group stage. Then, in the first knockout game against Japan on August 3, she scored in extra time to help her team advance. She started in the gold medal game against Brazil, which the United States won 1–0.
In December 2024, The Guardian newspaper voted her as the 5th best woman footballer in the world.
Trinity Rodman's Personal Life
In July 2023, Trinity was in a relationship with Chris Kuzemka. In May 2024, she began dating Trinity Benson, a former NFL wide receiver.
Trinity has spoken about her relationship with her father, Dennis Rodman. She said that he was not like a father to her and that she gave up on living with him because of his lifestyle.
Trinity Rodman's Other Work
Trinity Rodman has endorsement deals with companies like Red Bull, Oakley, and Adidas. She has also written a children's book called Wake Up and Kick It.
In June 2022, ESPN SportsCenter featured Trinity in a special program. This was part of ESPN's "Fifty/50" month-long event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Title IX in the United States. She has also appeared in TV commercials for Verizon, Rexona, and Fox Soccer.
