The ADNOC Pro League is the top professional football league in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It's where the best football teams in the UAE compete. This league is the highest level of football in the country.
The first team to win the league was Al Orouba (Sharjah). The team with the most wins is Al Ain, with 14 titles. There are 14 clubs in the league. Teams can move up to the Pro League or down to the First Division League based on how well they play. This is called promotion and relegation.
The league started in 1973 as the UAE Football League. The very first season in 1973–74 was a "trial" but was later made official. In 2007, the Pro League Committee was created. This group now organizes and runs the league.
