Roman Victories and Achievements
- Lucius Cornelius Balbus was a Roman general. He won great victories against the Garamantes people in Africa. For his success, he was given a special celebration called a Roman triumph. This was a huge parade through Rome to honor a military commander.
- Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa was a close friend and general of Emperor Augustus. In 19 BC, he finished building the Aqua Virgo. This was an aqueduct, a long channel that carried fresh water into the city of Rome. It was a big engineering achievement!
- The Cantabrians were a group of people living in what is now northern Spain. After many years of fighting, they were finally brought under the control of the powerful Roman Empire. This meant Rome now ruled over their lands.
