Adjoa Aiboom Helen Andoh HonFRSL (born 14 January 1963) is a talented British actress. She has played important roles in many plays with famous theatre groups like the Royal Shakespeare Company. On TV, you might know her as Francine Jones from Doctor Who or from the medical drama Casualty. She also made her big Hollywood movie debut in 2009, playing Brenda Mazibuko in Invictus, a film about Nelson Mandela. Since 2020, she has been playing Lady Danbury in the popular Netflix show Bridgerton.

Early Life and School
Adjoa Andoh was born in Clifton, Bristol, England. Her mother was a teacher from England, and her father was a journalist and musician from Ghana. Adjoa grew up in a place called Wickwar in Gloucestershire. She went to Katharine Lady Berkeley's School. She started studying law at Bristol Polytechnic. However, after two years, she decided to leave and follow her dream of becoming an actress.

Coronation Comments
In May 2023, after the coronation of King Charles III, Adjoa Andoh made a comment about the diversity she saw. She said that the day had "gone from the rich diversity of the Abbey to a terribly white balcony." Many people complained about this comment. Adjoa later explained that she was talking about how wonderful the day was, and then noticed the balcony looked very different from the diverse crowd she had seen earlier. She said she did not mean to upset anyone. In June 2023, the media watchdog Ofcom decided not to take any action because it was her personal observation.
