Andreas Öberg, born on August 6, 1978, is a talented Swedish musician. He is known as a guitarist, a songwriter, and a music producer. He has worked with many famous artists around the world.

Andreas Öberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He started playing the classical guitar when he was just seven years old. By the time he was twelve, he switched to the electric guitar. His teachers helped him learn about blues and jazz fusion music. Later, he studied music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

Andreas began his professional music career at eighteen. He worked with Swedish singers like Viktoria Tolstoy and Svante Thuresson. From 2003 to 2006, he made six albums with Hot Club Records. In 2006, he joined Resonance Records. He described his music then as a mix of jazz, funk, soul, and Latin styles. He even played with the Resonance Big Band on an album that was nominated for a Grammy Award!

In 2009, Andreas started his own website, Andreas' Guitar Universe. On this site, he teaches guitar lessons online. He has also worked with many legendary musicians. These include Barbara Hendricks, Hank Jones, Les Paul, Eros Ramazzotti, and Toots Thielemans.

Writing Songs for Artists

Andreas Öberg was asked to write a song for a TV commercial in Sweden. After that, he started composing music for Universal Music. He worked with Andreas Carlsson, who encouraged him to write song lyrics too. As a songwriter, Andreas has teamed up with Melanie Fontana and Ludwig Göransson. He has written and produced pop songs for artists in Sweden, America, and Japan.

In 2015, Andreas co-wrote a song called "Romance" for the K-pop group SHINee. Their album, Odd, became very popular. It was number one on the Korean Gaon Music Chart for two weeks. It also topped the Billboard World Albums chart.

In May 2016, Japanese singer Namie Amuro released her single "Mint." Andreas co-wrote and co-produced both "Mint" and "Chit Chat" on the single. "Mint" sold over 250,000 digital copies in Japan. In June 2016, the K-pop group Exo released their album Ex'Act. This album included the song "Stronger," which Andreas also co-wrote. Ex'Act sold over one million physical copies worldwide.

Andreas has won several awards for his music. He received the Hagström Guitar Award and the Gevalia Music Prize in 2004. In 2006, he won the International Guitar Competition Prize in Montreux. He has also taught music classes at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.
