Angola is a country in Africa that loves sports! They have sent their best athletes to compete in the Summer Olympic Games ten times. So far, Angola has not won an Olympic medal. They have never competed in the Winter Olympic Games.

Angola's best results at the Summer Olympics were achieved by the Angola women's national handball team. They finished 7th in 1996 and 8th in 2016.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Angola sent 26 athletes. This was the most athletes from any country in Central Africa that year. They competed in seven different sports. Even though they sent many athletes, they did not win any medals. The youngest Angolan athlete in 2016 was Leite Hermenegildo, who was 16 years old and competed in Athletics. The oldest was Joao Paulo de Leiria E Silva, who was 52 and competed in Shooting.
