Artem Vladimirovich Chigvintsev, born on June 12, 1982, is a professional dancer. He was born in Russia but is now an American citizen. Artem is famous for his amazing Latin dancing skills.

Early Life and Dance Journey
Artem Chigvintsev was born in Izhevsk, which was part of the Soviet Union. In 2003, he moved to the United States. There, he started dancing with a champion ballroom dancer named Giselle Peacock.
Artem tried out for the first season of So You Think You Can Dance. He was eliminated from the competition. However, he came back as a guest choreographer for the second season. This meant he helped create dances for the show.
His Time on Strictly Come Dancing
In September 2010, Artem became a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing for its eighth series. He was paired with actress Kara Tointon. They did very well, getting high scores from the judges. In week 5, they even got the first perfect 10 score of the series.
Artem and Kara made it all the way to the final. They competed against other strong dancers. In the end, they won the competition and became the champions of 2010. Artem was one of only five professional dancers to win the show in their first season.

In 2014, Artem joined Dancing with the Stars in the U.S. He started as a member of the Dance Troupe. Later that year, he became a professional dancer on the show. This meant he left Strictly Come Dancing.

In 2011, Artem was a choreographer for the British version of So You Think You Can Dance. He created dances for the contestants, including a Viennese Waltz and a Cha-Cha-Cha. For the final, he choreographed a Tango.

In November 2019, Artem got engaged to Nikki Bella, a retired WWE wrestler. She was his dance partner on Dancing with the Stars. On January 29, 2020, Nikki and Artem announced they were expecting their first child. Their son, Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev, was born on July 31, 2020. Artem and Nikki got married on August 26, 2022. They later divorced in September 2024. They share joint custody of their son.
