Chanéaz was a small town in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Vaud, which is like a state in Switzerland. Chanéaz was part of the Jura-Nord Vaudois area.
On January 1, 2013, Chanéaz joined with several other towns. These included Chapelle-sur-Moudon, Correvon, Denezy, Martherenges, Neyruz-sur-Moudon, Peyres-Possens, Saint-Cierges, and Thierrens. Together, they formed a new, larger town called Montanaire.

Chanéaz is quite old! The first time it was ever written about was in the year 1184. Back then, its name was spelled Chafneya.
