Corserey was a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Fribourg, in an area known as the Sarine district. On January 1, 2020, Corserey joined with two other towns, Noréaz and Prez-vers-Noréaz. Together, they formed a new, larger town called Prez.

Corserey is quite old! It was first mentioned in historical records around the years 1150 to 1162. Back then, its name was written as Corserei.
Where Corserey Is Located
In 2013, Corserey covered an area of about 3.43 square kilometers (which is about 1.32 square miles). A big part of this land, about 72%, was used for farming. Forests covered almost 20% of the area. The remaining land, about 7.9%, had buildings and roads.
Most of the forested land was covered with thick trees. For farming, nearly half of the land was used for growing crops. About 23% was used for pastures where animals could graze.
