Danielle Feinberg is an amazing American artist and scientist who works at Pixar Animation Studios. She helps create the incredible worlds you see in movies like WALL-E, Brave, and Coco. Danielle is a Visual effects supervisor and a cinematographer, which means she helps make sure everything on screen looks just right. She also leads the lighting team at Pixar.

Danielle's Journey and Work at Pixar

Danielle Feinberg grew up in Boulder, Colorado. Even when she was young, she loved learning about computers and engineering. She went to summer camps and after-school programs to explore these interests.

Learning Computer Animation

Danielle later went to Harvard University. There, she discovered something really cool: computer animation! This was during a class about computer graphics. She graduated in 1996 with a degree in computer science.

Starting at Pixar

In 1997, Danielle joined Pixar. Her first job was helping manage all the data and images for the movie A Bug's Life. Since then, she has become a leader in visual effects and computer graphics at Pixar. She helps bring animated stories to life!

Outside of her work on movies, Danielle loves to inspire young people, especially girls. She mentors girls through groups like Girls Who Code. She gives talks around the world to encourage girls to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Her inspiring talks even helped kickstart an initiative by Google called "Made with Code."

Danielle has also appeared in documentaries. In 2015, she was in Code: Debugging the Gender Gap. In 2022, she was featured in Embrace the Panda: Making Turning Red. This documentary highlighted her and other leading women who worked on the movie Turning Red.
