Disney Channel is a popular TV channel in the Netherlands and Flanders (part of Belgium). It's based on the famous American Disney Channel and is owned by The Walt Disney Company.
Most of the shows on Disney Channel are dubbed into Dutch. This means the original voices are replaced with Dutch ones. But don't worry, if you prefer, you can often listen to the original English audio on some TV providers like Ziggo and Canal Digitaal. There are even two different versions of the channel, each with local advertisements for its region.
Disney Channel shows a fun mix of programs. You can watch original sitcoms, sometimes teen drama series, and cool animated shows. They also air special movies called Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs). In the past, their slogan was 'Dat moet je meemaken!', which means 'You have got to experience this!'
Since 2012, there's also a special version of Disney Channel just for Flanders, except for people watching via satellite.
