The Division of Fisher is a special area in Queensland, Australia. People who live here vote for someone to represent them in the Australian Parliament. This area is called an electoral division.
The Division of Fisher was created in 1949. It is named after Andrew Fisher. He was an important person who served as the Prime Minister of Australia three times! The area covers the beautiful Sunshine Coast region. This is just north of Brisbane. It includes towns like Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Beerwah, Maleny, Woodford, and Kilcoy.

Sir Charles Adermann was a very important leader in the Country Party. He was the Deputy Leader from 1964 to 1966.
Another Member of Parliament for Fisher was Peter Slipper. He was elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2011. The Speaker is like the referee in parliament. Peter Slipper later became an independent member. This means he did not belong to a political party. He then resigned as Speaker in 2012. For a short time in 2013, he joined a new party called the Palmer United Party. But he soon went back to being an independent.
