Douglas Dewayne Baldwin Jr. (born September 21, 1988) is a former professional football wide receiver. He played his entire 8-year career with the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Stanford Cardinal. The Seahawks signed him in 2011 as an undrafted free agent.

Baldwin is one of the Seahawks' top players ever. He ranks third in team receptions and receiving yards. He is also second in receiving touchdowns. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl twice. He won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seahawks against the Denver Broncos.

Doug Baldwin's Early Life

Doug Baldwin grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He played youth football and ran track in Pensacola, Florida. He played high school football for the Gulf Breeze High School Dolphins. In his senior year, he caught 42 passes for 682 yards. He also scored six touchdowns.

He was also good at track & field. He competed in jumping events. He could jump 1.94 meters in the high jump. He also jumped 6.65 meters in the long jump.

Doug Baldwin's NFL Career

Doug Baldwin was not chosen in the 2011 NFL Draft. However, the Seattle Seahawks signed him as a free agent. He signed a three-year deal worth $1.4 million.

2011 Season: Rookie Year

Baldwin caught his first NFL touchdown in Week 1 of the 2011 NFL season. It was a 55-yard catch from quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. This game was against the San Francisco 49ers, coached by his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh.

He finished his rookie season as a leader for the Seahawks. He led the team in both receiving yards and catches. He was the first undrafted rookie free agent to lead his team in these stats since the AFL-NFL merger.

2014 Season: Back to the Super Bowl

In 2014, Baldwin signed a new two-year contract worth $13 million. He became the main receiver for the Seahawks after Percy Harvin was traded.

Doug Baldwin's Personal Life
