Dylan Baker, born on October 7, 1959, is an American actor. He is well-known for his roles in many movies and TV shows. Some of his famous films include Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), Thirteen Days (2000), Road to Perdition (2002), and Selma (2014). He also appeared in Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007) as Dr. Curt Connors.
On television, he had important roles in series like Murder One (1995–1996), The Good Wife (2010–2015), and Homeland (2018). For his work on The Good Wife, he was nominated three times for a Primetime Emmy Award. He also directed the film 23 Blast in 2013.

Early Life and Schooling
Dylan Baker was born in Syracuse, New York. He grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. He started acting in local plays when he was a teenager.
He went to Holy Cross Regional Catholic School. Later, he attended Darlington School and graduated from Georgetown Preparatory School in 1976. He studied at the College of William and Mary and then graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1980. He earned a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama. There, he studied with other actors like Chris Noth and Patricia Clarkson.
Acting Career Highlights
Dylan Baker has performed in several plays on Broadway theatre. These include Eastern Standard, La Bête, Mauritius, and God of Carnage. He was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in La Bête in 1991. In 1986, he won an Obie Award for his acting in the play Not About Heroes.
His first movie role was in Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987). His first regular TV role was in the series Murder One (1995). He has also appeared in many other TV shows. These include Law & Order, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and The West Wing.
In 1998, he received a lot of attention for his role in the film Happiness. In 2000, he played Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara in Thirteen Days. This movie was about the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also had a small part in Requiem for a Dream. In 2002, he played Alexander Rance in Road to Perdition. He was Dr. Curt Connors in Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007).
From 2010 to 2015, Baker had a recurring role as Colin Sweeney on The Good Wife. This role earned him three Primetime Emmy Award nominations. In 2015, he acted alongside Helen Mirren in the Broadway play The Audience. He played former Prime Minister John Major.
In 2016, he played William Crandall, a KGB agent, in Season 4 of the FX series The Americans. In 2017, he joined the cast of Homeland for its 7th season. He played Senator Sam Paley. He also starred in the 2020 series Hunters.

Personal Life
Dylan Baker married actress Becky Ann Baker in 1990. They have one daughter and live in New York City.
In 2015, Dylan Baker tried to help his neighbor, Vivien Eng, during an apartment fire. Sadly, he was unable to get through the smoke and flames. Firefighters rescued her, but she passed away two days later.
