What Was the High Delta Drive Thru Safari Park?
The High Delta Drive Thru Safari Park was a place where you could see wild animals from your car. It was like going on a mini-safari! The park was about halfway between Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Monroe, Louisiana. You could find it off Louisiana Highway 17.
A Home for Many Animals
The park was known for having many different kinds of animals. At one time, it had some of the largest groups of white-bearded Wildebeest and scimitar horned oryx in Louisiana. It also claimed to be the only place licensed to breed the Barasingha. The Barasingha is a type of deer that is an endangered species. This means it is very rare and needs protection.
