Jamie Lynn Marie Spears (born April 4, 1991) is an American actress and singer. She is known for playing Zoey Brooks on the Nickelodeon TV show Zoey 101 (2005–2008). She later played Zoey again in the movie Zoey 102 (2023).
Jamie Lynn also stars as Noreen Fitzgibbons in the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias (2020–present). She has won several awards, including a Gracie Award and two Kids' Choice Awards. She is the younger sister of famous singer Britney Spears.
In 2007, Jamie Lynn took a break from acting. She returned in 2013 to start a music career. She released her first song, "How Could I Want More", and an album called The Journey (2014). In 2023, she appeared on reality TV shows like Dancing with the Stars.

Jamie Lynn Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi. She grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana. Her parents are James and Lynne Spears. She has two older siblings, Bryan and Britney.
She went to Parklane Academy in McComb. There, she was a cheerleader and played basketball. While filming Zoey 101 in Los Angeles, she studied with tutors. She finished her schooling online and earned her GED in 2008.

Early Acting and Zoey 101 Success (2002–2008)
Jamie Lynn Spears started acting at age 10. Her first role was a small part in the 2002 movie Crossroads. Her sister Britney Spears starred in that film.
In 2002, Nickelodeon cast Jamie Lynn in the comedy show All That. She was a regular on the show until 2004. She played many different characters. She also appeared on Snick On-Air Dare, a Nickelodeon game show.
In 2004, Nickelodeon gave Jamie Lynn her own show. It was called Zoey 101. She played the main character, Zoey Brooks. The show was about Zoey and her friends at a boarding school. Jamie Lynn also sang the show's theme song, "Follow Me". Her sister Britney Spears helped write the song.
Zoey 101 first aired on January 9, 2005. It was a huge hit for Nickelodeon. Jamie Lynn won a Young Artist Award and a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for her role. The show ran for four seasons and ended in May 2008. Her co-star Seann Flynn said she was very professional and talented.
In 2008, Jamie Lynn also voiced Goldilocks in an animated movie. It was called Unstable Fables: Goldilocks & 3 Bears Show.
Starting a Music Career (2011–2017)
In 2011, Jamie Lynn moved to Nashville, Tennessee. She began working on a country music album. She released her first song, "How Could I Want More", in November 2013. The song did well on the country music charts.
In May 2014, she released her first album, an EP called The Journey. It reached number 5 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. Jamie Lynn performed at many country music events. She also helped write the song "I Got the Boy" for singer Jana Kramer.
In 2016, Jamie Lynn released a documentary. It was called Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out. It showed her journey into country music and her life as a mom. She also performed at the famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Return to Acting and Reality TV (2018–2023)
In 2018, Jamie Lynn appeared on the game show Double Dare. She played with her daughter Maddie. They won over $15,000 for a hospital in New Orleans.

In 2019, Netflix announced that Jamie Lynn would star in Sweet Magnolias. It is a romantic drama series. In 2020, the cast of Zoey 101 reunited for an episode of All That. Jamie Lynn played herself and an old character. She also recorded a new version of the Zoey 101 theme song, "Follow Me".
In 2022, Jamie Lynn released her memoir. It was titled Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out. In 2023, she joined the TV show Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. She left the show early because she missed her children.

In November 2023, she joined the British reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. She left the show after 11 days for health reasons.
Future Projects (2024–present)
Jamie Lynn started filming the fourth season of Sweet Magnolias in February 2024. Filming finished in June. In September 2024, she played in a charity softball game. This helped raise money for a school's softball team.
Personal Life
Jamie Lynn Spears is Catholic. She converted in 2018. Her daughters and mother are also Catholic.
In 2013, Jamie Lynn shared that she faced personal challenges. She sought therapy to help her feel better. She said she learned to be honest with herself.
Marriage and Family
Jamie Lynn married businessman Jamie Watson on March 14, 2014, in New Orleans. They had been dating for two years. On April 11, 2018, Jamie Lynn gave birth to her second daughter.
ATV Incident
In February 2017, Jamie Lynn's daughter Maddie had an accident. Her ATV accidentally drove into a pond. Maddie was trapped for a short time. She was taken to Children's Hospital of New Orleans. She was unconscious for two days but then woke up and recovered fully.
Jamie Lynn later explained that she and her husband helped rescue Maddie. First responders arrived quickly and helped get her out of the water.
