Eva Son-Forget (born Kim Jae Duk on 15 April 1983) is a French politician who was born in South Korea. She lives in Switzerland and also has citizenship from Kosovo and Switzerland.

Eva Son-Forget was adopted by a French family when she was a child. She studied neuroscience and worked as a radiologist, a doctor who uses imaging like X-rays to diagnose illnesses. She has been involved with several political parties in France, including the Socialist Party and La République En Marche!. She later started her own party called Valeur Absolue.

Since becoming a member of the National Assembly in 2017, Eva Son-Forget has been active on social media. She is known for sharing funny or satirical content online.

Eva Son-Forget was born in South Korea. She was adopted by a French family and grew up in Langres, France. She later studied in cities like Dijon, Paris, and Lausanne.

Later, in 2015, she received a doctorate in medicine and cognitive neuroscience. Her research focused on how our brains understand our bodies in space.

Her Journey in Politics

Eva Son-Forget supported François Hollande in the 2012 French presidential election. She was active in the French Socialist Party in Switzerland. In 2017, she joined Emmanuel Macron's political movement, "En Marche!", which later became La République En Marche!.

Becoming a Member of Parliament

In 2017, Eva Son-Forget ran for election to the National Assembly. She represented French citizens living in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. She won the election with a large majority of the votes.

Her Work in the National Assembly

As a member of the National Assembly, Eva Son-Forget worked on the Foreign Affairs Committee. She led the group that focused on relations between France and South Korea. She also helped with relations between France and Kosovo.

In 2018, she left the La République En Marche! party. She then announced she would create her own political party. This party was first called Je suis français et européen (meaning "I am French and European"). In 2019, it was renamed Valeur Absolue.

She later joined another group in the National Assembly called UDI, Agir and Independents. After leaving this group, she became an independent member.

Running in the 2022 Elections

In 2020, Eva Son-Forget announced she would run for the 2022 French presidential election. She later supported Éric Zemmour during his campaign. After Zemmour was not elected, she supported Emmanuel Macron for the second round.

She ran for re-election in her constituency in the 2022 French legislative election. However, she was not re-elected.

In December 2022, she announced she had joined the Swiss People's Party in Switzerland. However, her application to join the local branch was later rejected.

Her Life Outside Politics

Eva Son-Forget lives in Switzerland with her three children.

She has been interested in Kosovo since she was a teenager. In 2018, the President of Kosovo gave her Kosovar citizenship.

Besides her political and medical work, Eva Son-Forget enjoys playing the harpsichord. She also practices long range shooting and various martial arts, such as karate.
