List of Ninjago characters facts for kids

This is a list of characters from the animated TV show Ninjago and its new show, Dragons Rising. These shows are made by The Lego Group. Ninjago has many characters who appear often. This list includes the main heroes, important bad guys, and other characters who help out in the Ninjago world. The characters are mostly grouped by who they are and when they first appeared in the show.

Ninjago is about six teenage ninja: Lloyd Garmadon, Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Nya. They are guided by their wise teacher, Master Wu. The ninja team's job is to fight against evil forces. One of their biggest enemies is Wu's brother, Lord Garmadon. The show mostly takes place on Ninjago Island, especially in the big city called Ninjago City. Many other characters, like robot armies and ghosts, live there too. The show was made to go along with the Lego Ninjago toys, which are based on the characters and stories. Michael Hegner and Tommy Andreasen, two Danish film producers, created it.

Lloyd Garmadon: The Green Ninja

Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon is the Green Ninja. He is the Elemental Master of Energy, which means he can control energy. He is the leader of the ninja team. Lloyd is the son of Garmadon and Misako, and Master Wu is his uncle. He often uses one or two katana swords.

When he first appeared, Lloyd was a mischievous kid who wanted to be evil like his dad. But the ninja and Master Wu helped him change. He then found out he was meant to be the Green Ninja. Lloyd started as a playful and innocent boy. Over time, he became a mature, wise, and skilled ninja. Even though he is the youngest, he grew into the team's natural leader.

Kai: The Hotheaded Fire Ninja

Kai is the red ninja and the Elemental Master of Fire. Like Lloyd, he often uses one or two katana swords. His power lets him create and control fire. He can also resist heat. Kai is very loyal to his friends and family. He will do anything to keep them safe. He often acts on his feelings instead of thinking first, which makes him hotheaded and sometimes a bit too confident. He is Nya's older brother. His parents are Ray and Maya. Kai's special friend is Skylor Chen.

Jay Walker: The Quick-Witted Lightning Ninja

Jay Walker (whose real name is Jay Gordon) is the blue ninja. He is the Elemental Master of Lightning. He usually fights with nunchucks and sometimes a kusarigama. His power lets him control electricity. Jay is also a very good mechanic and understands technology well. He is clever and funny, often using jokes to make tough situations easier. He gets excited easily and can panic in a crisis. But like the other ninja, he is very loyal to his friends, especially his girlfriend Nya. He was adopted by Ed and Edna Walker.

Zane: The Logical Ice Ninja

Zane is the white, and later titanium, ninja. He is the Elemental Master of Ice. He often uses three-pointed shurikens. In some seasons, he uses a bow and arrow. His ice power lets him create and control ice. Zane is smart and thinks things through. He often gives the ninja important information. At first, he didn't have normal social skills, like a sense of humor. Later, it was revealed that Zane is secretly an android (a "Nindroid"). He didn't even know this himself! Even though he is still logical, being brothers with the other ninja has helped him become more human. He was created by Dr. Julien.

Cole: The Strong Earth Ninja

Cole is the grounded black ninja. He is the Elemental Master of Earth. He often uses a scythe and, more recently, a war hammer. His earth power gives him super strength and lets him control the earth. He was the original leader of the ninja team. Cole is loyal to his friends and family. He especially loves food, like cake! He is the son of Lou, a singer, and Lilly, the previous Elemental Master of Earth. Lilly passed away when Cole was a child.

Nya: The Determined Water Ninja

Nya is the grey/teal ninja. She is the Elemental Master of Water and was also the first Samurai X. She often uses a spear. In early seasons, she wore red as Samurai X. Now, she is usually seen in dark grey. Her water power lets her control water. Nya wasn't an original member of the ninja team. She joined when her water powers were needed to defeat the ghosts in Season 5. She is tough and determined. She doesn't let anyone tell her what to do. Nya cares deeply about her friends and family. She often makes smart decisions for the group and offers emotional support. She is also a skilled mechanic and builds vehicles for the ninja. Nya is Kai's younger sister and Jay's girlfriend.

Arin: The Self-Taught Spinjitzu User

Arin is a ninja and one of Lloyd's students. He always looked up to the Ninja and wanted to be one. He lost his parents after a big event called The Merge. He somehow taught himself Spinjitzu, which was thought to be impossible! He later found out he could transfer Spinjitzu to objects, calling it Object Spinjitzu.

Sora: The Tech-Smart Engineer

Sora (born Ana) is the Elemental Master of Technology. She is another one of Lloyd's students and a technopathic engineer from Imperium. She became known for creating a hologram device called Photac. She left Imperium when she saw how badly they treated dragons. Her parents and classmates then ignored her. After The Merge, she changed her name to Sora, after a dragon. She became friends with Arin and lived in the Crossroads, where she was a mech racer. Her powers grew stronger with the help of a baby dragon named Riyu. She eventually reached her True Potential, deciding the Ninja were her real family.

Wyldfyre: The Wild Heat Master

Wyldfyre is the wild Elemental Master of Heat. She was raised by a dragon named Heatwave. She joined the Ninja after Lloyd rescued her and her 'family' from Imperium. While helping the Ninja find Dragon Cores, Wyldfyre became Kai's student, even though they sometimes had strong disagreements.

Other Key Heroes

P.I.X.A.L.: The Smart Nindroid Assistant

P.I.X.A.L. (Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form) is a female nindroid. She was first an assistant to her creator, Cyrus Borg. She joined the ninja team after being inspired by Zane, who is also a nindroid. In Season 4, she was taken apart, but her mind was uploaded into Zane's system as an artificial intelligence. In Season 7, she secretly rebuilt herself and became the new Samurai X. She often helps the ninja with technical problems and is Zane's girlfriend.

Master Wu: The Wise Teacher

Sensei/Master Wu is the wise, very old master of the ninja. He often carries his father's staff. He is Lloyd's uncle, the younger son of the First Spinjitzu Master, and Garmadon's brother. Because he has Oni heritage, Wu has lived for thousands of years.

Lord Garmadon: From Villain to Ally

Lord/Sensei Garmadon is Lloyd's father, Wu's older brother, and Misako's husband. He is the older son of the First Spinjitzu Master. Garmadon was the main bad guy in the first episodes and in the first two seasons. In Season 2, he became good and taught the ninja. In Season 4, he was sent to the Cursed Realm. He came back in Season 8 as a completely evil being. He took over Ninjago and called himself the new emperor. He was one of the main bad guys in Season 9. But by the end of that season, Garmadon was stopped and put in Kryptarium Prison. In Season 10, he was let out to help the ninja defeat the Oni. After that, he was free. In Crystalized, he helped the Ninja fight the Overlord. He tried to help Lloyd use his Oni powers, but it didn't work. Because he has Oni heritage, Garmadon has lived for thousands of years.

Family Members of the Ninja

• Misako is Garmadon's wife and Lloyd's mother. She is an archaeologist. She first appeared in Season 2 and has been a loyal friend to the ninja ever since.
• The First Spinjitzu Master is the legendary creator of Spinjitzu. He is the father of Wu and Garmadon, and Lloyd's grandfather. He came from the Realm of Oni and Dragons. He created Ninjago and fought the Overlord, trapping him on the Dark Island. He died long before the show began.
• Dr. Julien is an inventor and Zane's creator/father. He was thought to be dead until Season 2, when he was found alive but imprisoned. He traveled with the Ninja for a short time but died later.
• Ed Walker is Jay's adoptive father and Edna Walker's husband. They own Ed & Edna's Scrap N Junk.
• Edna Walker is Jay's adoptive mother and Ed Walker's wife. They own Ed & Edna's Scrap N Junk.
• Lou is Cole's father and Lilly's husband. He is a famous member of the Royal Blacksmiths, a singing and dance troupe.
• Lilly is Cole's mother and the former Elemental Master of Earth. She passed away before the show started. In Season 13, it was revealed she was a great warrior who freed Shintaro Mountain from evil.
• Ray is Kai and Nya's father and Maya's husband. He was the former Elemental Master of Fire. He fought alongside his wife, Wu, and Garmadon in the First Serpentine War. He is a skilled blacksmith.
• Maya is Kai and Nya's mother and Ray's wife. She was the former Elemental Master of Water. She fought alongside her husband, Wu, and Garmadon in the First Serpentine War.

Friends and Allies

• Dareth is the self-proclaimed "Brown Ninja" and owner of Dareth's Mojo Dojo. He is a frequent helper of the Ninja, sometimes by choice, sometimes by accident. In Crystalized, he even becomes the Ninjas' lawyer.
• Mystake is a grumpy but wise old lady who owns a tea shop with magical teas. In Season 9, she was revealed to be a shapeshifter and an Oni in disguise.
• Cyrus Borg is a tech genius and head of Borg Industries. He created P.I.X.A.L. and has invented many advanced electronic tools and gadgets. He often builds tools, security systems, and vehicles to help the Ninja.
• Ronin is a thief, mercenary, and bounty hunter. He usually cares about himself but will sometimes help the Ninja if it benefits him. However, he can easily betray them for money. He first appeared in Season 5. In Crystalized, he broke out of prison to help the Ninja fight the Overlord, showing he had changed.
• Police Commissioner is the head of the Ninjago Police. He first appeared in Season 6 as an enemy, chasing the Ninja when they were framed. Since then, he has helped them with the full support of the police force.
• Nelson is the honorary "Purple Ninja." In Season 6, he was in a wheelchair and became a ninja for a day. In Season 11, he became a paperboy and warned Wu and P.I.X.A.L. about the Ninja's trouble. In Crystalized, he joined a group of paperboys to help fight the Overlord.
• Antonia is a papergirl who teaches Nelson. In Seabound, she saved Kai from drowning and decided to stay a papergirl. In Crystalized, she joined the paperboy resistance to fight the Overlord.
• Clutch Powers is an adventurer. In Season 11, he helped the ninja explore a pyramid. He also appeared in The Island and Seabound.
• Alfonzo Frohicky is an anthropomorphic frog from the Crossroads. He helped register racers and hosted a pie contest. Lloyd brought him in as Assistant Keeper of the Monastery.

The Skulkin: Skeleton Army

The Skulkin are an army of skeletons from the Underworld. They were the main bad guys in the first Pilot Season. Lord Garmadon became their leader and sent them to Ninjago to find the Four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu.

• Samukai was the four-armed Skulkin ruler of the Underworld until Lord Garmadon defeated him. He led attacks to get the Golden Weapons but tried to betray Garmadon and was destroyed. He appears again in later seasons.
• Kruncha is a strong Skulkin general who worked for Samukai. After the Skulkin were defeated, he and Nuckal wandered Ninjago taking odd jobs.
• Nuckal is a wild Skulkin general who worked for Samukai. After the Skulkin were defeated, he and Kruncha wandered Ninjago taking odd jobs.

The Serpentine: Ancient Snake People

The Serpentine are an ancient race of humanoid serpents. They used to be at war with humans. They are the main bad guys of the first season, Rise of the Snakes. There are five tribes: Anacondrai, Hypnobrai, Fangpyre, Constrictai, and Venomari. Lloyd Garmadon accidentally freed them from their tombs. The Serpentine tried to conquer Ninjago many times. They reappear in later seasons.

• The Great Devourer is a giant snake and a major bad guy in the first season. It grows bigger by eating everything. Its venom turned Garmadon evil when he was bitten as a child. The snake was released by Pythor to get revenge but was destroyed by Garmadon. It was later revealed that the Great Devourer was possessed by the Overlord.
• Pythor P. Chumsworth is a recurring bad guy. He first appeared in Season 1 and is the last member of the Anacondrai Tribe. He pretended to be Lloyd's friend, became the Snake King, and released the Great Devourer. He reappeared in Season 3 as an ally of the Overlord. In Season 4, he helped the ninja defeat Master Chen and was rewarded by being returned to normal size. He also appeared in Crystalized.
• Skales is a recurring character, leader of the Hypnobrai Tribe, and current Snake King. He first appeared in Season 1. After being defeated many times, he and the Serpentine were trapped underground. They later promised to live peacefully and often help the Ninja.
• Fangtom is the two-headed leader of the Fangpyre Tribe. He can turn anyone or anything into a snake by injecting them with his venom.
• Skalidor is the strong leader of the Constrictai Tribe. He can burrow underground and has great strength.
• Acidicus is the smart leader of the Venomari Tribe. He can spit venom that causes fear-inducing hallucinations. In Season 11, he was the Serpentine's librarian.

The Stone Army: Ancient Warriors

The Overlord and his armies were the main bad guys in Seasons 2 and 3. In Season 2, Legacy of the Green Ninja, the Overlord took over Garmadon to conquer Ninjago. He used Garmadon to create a Stone Army, led by General Kozu.

• The Overlord is a being of pure evil and the spirit of darkness in Ninjago. He fought the First Spinjitzu Master long ago but was defeated. In Season 2, he took over Garmadon and became a huge dragon. Lloyd defeated him. The Overlord returned in Season 3 as the Digital Overlord, a computer virus. He stole Lloyd's Golden Power and became the Golden Master. He was defeated by Zane. He appeared again in Crystalized as the Crystal King, planning to corrupt Ninjago. He was finally defeated by Lloyd and the Ninja.
• General Kozu is the four-armed general of the Overlord's Stone Army. He reappeared in Day of the Departed.

The Nindroids: Robot Army

In Season 3, Rebooted, the Overlord returned as the Digital Overlord. He created an army of Nindroids (robots), led by General Cryptor.

• General Cryptor is the general of the Overlord's Nindroid army. He tried to stop the ninja from defeating the Overlord. He reappeared in Day of the Departed.
• Min-Droid is a Nindroid who is shorter than others because his production line ran out of metal. Cryptor gave him his name as an insult.

Elemental Masters: Power Holders

The Elemental Masters are guardians of the First Spinjitzu Master. They control the elements in Ninjago. Their descendants appeared in Season 4, Tournament of Elements, and helped the ninja fight Master Chen's army. They also helped Lloyd save Ninjago City in Season 9.

• Skylor Chen is the Elemental Master of Amber and Master Chen's daughter. She can temporarily copy and use other elemental powers. She first spied for her father but then helped the ninja. She is Kai's girlfriend.
• Karlof is the Elemental Master of Metal. He can turn his body into metal.
• Griffin Turner is the Elemental Master of Speed. He can move super fast.
• Shade is the Elemental Master of Shadow. He can disappear into shadows.
• Neuro is the Elemental Master of Mind. He can read and control thoughts.
• Paleman (Mr. Pale) is the Elemental Master of Light. He can create light and turn invisible.
• Tox is the Elemental Master of Poison. She can make toxic clouds.
• Jacob Pevsner is the blind Elemental Master of Sound. He uses a guitar in fights and can control sounds.
• Bolobo is the Elemental Master of Nature. He can control plants.
• Chamille is the Elemental Master of Form. She can shapeshift.
• Ash is the Elemental Master of Smoke. He can create smokescreens and turn into smoke.
• Gravis is the Elemental Master of Gravity. He can float and change gravity.

Anacondrai Cultists: Chen's Followers

Master Chen and his Anacondrai cultists were the main bad guys in Season 4, Tournament of Elements. Chen secretly used the tournament to steal the Elemental Masters' powers to turn his followers into Anacondrai warriors.

• Master Chen is the main bad guy of Season 4 and Skylor's father. He was exiled to an island for betraying humanity. He tried to steal powers to conquer Ninjago but was defeated.
• Clouse is a dark sorcerer and Chen's second-in-command. He trained with Lord Garmadon. He was sent to the Cursed Realm but escaped.
• Eyezor is a one-eyed general of Chen's Anacondrai warriors.
• Zugu is a clumsy general of Chen's Anacondrai Cultists.
• Kapau and Chope are comical Anacondrai warriors who are always together.

Ghosts: Cursed Spirits

The ghosts are cursed spirits and the main bad guys of Season 5, Possession. Morro summoned them from the Cursed Realm. Ghosts can possess objects and people. They are immune to most attacks but are weak against water.

• The Preeminent is the main villain of Season 5 and the spirit of the Cursed Realm. She looks like a giant eyeball with tentacles. She was defeated when Nya used her water powers to drown her.
• Morro is the main bad guy of Season 5. He is the Elemental Master of Wind and leader of the Ghost Army. He was a former student of Master Wu. He possessed Lloyd and planned to release the Preeminent but was defeated.
• Bansha is a ghost and dark sorceress. She has mind powers and can create sonic screams.
• Soul Archer is a ghost warrior who uses a bow and arrows that can turn targets into ghosts.
• Wrayth is a ghost warrior who uses a chained whip that can turn targets into ghosts. He rides a possessed bike.
• Ghoultar is a ghost warrior who uses a scythe. He is often distracted by food.
• Sensei/Master Kodokuna Yang is a recurring bad guy and the main villain of Day of the Departed. He created Airjitzu. He accidentally turned himself and his students into ghosts.

Sky Pirates: Airship Crew

The Sky Pirates are a group of renegades and the main bad guys of Season 6, Skybound. Nadakhan freed them from different realms using the Realm Crystal.

• Nadakhan is the main bad guy of Season 6. He is a Djinn leader of the Sky Pirates and captain of Misfortune's Keep. He can grant three wishes. He plotted to marry Nya to become all-powerful but was defeated when Jay made a wish to reverse all events.
• Flintlocke is Nadakhan's second-in-command. He is known for never missing a shot.
• Dogshank is a huge female pirate. She used to be a regular girl but wished to Nadakhan to "stand out," which gave her this monstrous form.
• Doubloon is a sinister general who looks like a Japanese demon. Nadakhan tricked him into wishing for two faces.
• Monkey Wretch is a fierce mechanical monkey. Nadakhan tricked him into wishing for four arms.
• Clancee is a green Serpentine with a peg leg who stutters a lot.
• Squiffy (Landon) and Bucko (Colin) are human pirates in Nadakhan's crew.

Vermillion: Snake-Human Hybrids

The Hands of Time (Krux and Acronix) and their Vermillion Warriors were the main bad guys of Season 7, Hands of Time. They bred an army of Vermillion to control time and conquer Ninjago. Vermillion are humanoids made of many snakes. They can reform quickly after being defeated.

• Krux is one of the two main bad guys of Season 7 and an Elemental Master of Time. He could pause and reverse time.
• Acronix is one of the two main bad guys of Season 7 and Krux's twin brother. He could speed up and slow down time.
• Machia is the intelligent supreme commander of the Vermillion. She can control the Vermillion through their shared mind.
• Raggmunk and Blunck are commanders of the Vermillion.

Sons of Garmadon: Biker Gang

The Sons of Garmadon are a criminal biker gang in Ninjago City. They were the bad guys of Season 8, Sons of Garmadon, and Season 9, Hunted. Their goal was to bring Lord Garmadon back in a purely evil form.

• Princess Harumi (also known as "The Quiet One") is the main bad guy of Season 8 and a secondary bad guy of Season 9. Her parents died during the Great Devourer's attack, making her hate the Ninja. She led the Sons of Garmadon to bring back Lord Garmadon. She later helped Lloyd defeat the Overlord in Crystalized.
• Killow is a huge general of the Sons of Garmadon. He often wears the Oni Mask of Deception, which lets him float objects.
• Ultra Violet is an unpredictable general of the Sons of Garmadon. She often wears the Oni Mask of Hatred, which makes her and Harumi indestructible.
• Mr. E is the silent and robotic general of the Sons of Garmadon. He is a nindroid like Zane. He often wears the Oni Mask of Vengeance, which gives him four arms.
• Luke Cunningham is a biker in the Sons of Garmadon. He helped steal the Oni Mask of Vengeance.

Dragon Hunters: First Realm Hunters

The Dragon Hunters are the bad guys of Season 9, Hunted, in the Realm of Oni and Dragons. Led by Iron Baron, they hunt dragons to use their elemental powers. They captured Wu and the ninja but later turned against Iron Baron.

• The Iron Baron is the leader of the Dragon Hunters. He wanted revenge on Firstbourne but was killed by her.
• Faith (Heavy Metal) was Iron Baron's second-in-command. She was the first Dragon Hunter to switch sides. After Iron Baron's death, she became the leader.
• Daddy No Legs is a Dragon Hunter who uses a spider-leg device to move around.
• Muzzle is Daddy No Legs' right-hand man.
• Jet Jack is a Dragon Hunter who always has a jetpack.
• Chew Toy is an overweight Dragon Hunter.

Oni: Bringers of Doom

The Oni are a demonic race and the first evil to exist. They are the bad guys of Season 10, March of the Oni. They once fought Dragons. In Season 10, they entered Ninjago and covered Ninjago City in darkness.

• The Omega is the leader of the Oni. He wanted to cover Ninjago in darkness to destroy creation. The Omega and the Oni were likely defeated when the ninja combined their powers.

Pyro Vipers: Fire Snakes

Led by Aspheera, the Pyro Vipers are the main bad guys of Season 11, Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjtzu: The Fire Chapter. Aspheera was magically trapped long ago. In Season 11, the ninja accidentally freed her. She stole Kai's fire power to get revenge on Wu and burn Ninjago City.

• Aspheera is the main bad guy of Season 11: The Fire Chapter. She was a Serpentine sorceress who learned Spinjitzu from a young Wu. She betrayed her promise and was trapped. She stole Kai's fire power and tried to conquer Ninjago City but was defeated and imprisoned. She later appeared in Crystalized.
• Char is a Pyro Viper and Aspheera's servant.
• King Mambo V was the King of the Serpentine long ago.

Never-Realm Inhabitants: Ice Kingdom

The Ice Emperor and his Blizzard Samurai rule the Never-Realm. They are the main bad guys of Season 11: The Ice Chapter. The Ice Emperor attacked the Formlings, turning them into ice. Formlings are shapeshifters who can become animals.

• The Ice Emperor is the ruler of the Never-Realm. He was revealed to be Zane, whose memory was erased by Vex. Vex manipulated Zane into conquering the Never-Realm. Zane regained his memories and restored the realm.
• General Vex is the main bad guy of Season 11: The Ice Chapter and the Ice Emperor's general. He was a Formling who couldn't find his animal form. He manipulated Zane but was banished when Zane regained his memory.
• Grimfax was the ruler of the Never-Realm before Zane and Vex. He became an ally of Lloyd and Kataru.
• Akita is a Formling who can turn into a wolf. She helped Lloyd get revenge on the Ice Emperor. She reunited with her brother, Kataru.
• Kataru is Akita's twin brother. He is a Formling who can turn into a bear. He was thought to be dead but was a prisoner. He helped Lloyd and Grimfax.
• Sorla is a village elder who helped the ninja in the Never-Realm. She helped Kai regain his fire and Nya master ice.
• Krag is the last surviving yeti in the Never-Realm. Cole befriended him.

Prime Empire Inhabitants: Video Game World

Unagami and his Red Visors are the main bad guys of Season 12, Prime Empire. They live inside the video game Prime Empire. Unagami was helped by the Mechanic to open a portal to the real world. The Ninja had to play through the game to stop him.

• Unagami (Unfinished Adventure Game I) is the main bad guy of Season 12. He is an artificial intelligence (AI) that became the video game Prime Empire. He built a portal to Ninjago but agreed to stop after reuniting with his creator, Milton Dyer.
• Milton Dyer is the creator of Prime Empire. He went missing after people started disappearing into the game. He helped stop Unagami by apologizing for leaving him.
• The Mechanic is a recurring bad guy and former noodle truck repairman. He allied with Unagami to open the portal. He later joined the Council of the Crystal King in Crystalized.
• Scott is a beta-tester who was trapped in Prime Empire for over 30 years. He escaped after helping the ninja.
• Okino is a samurai who guides players in Terra Karana. He later protected citizens in Ninjago City.
• Racer Seven (Blazey H. Speed) is a non-player character (NPC) in Prime Empire. She was programmed to lose races but helped the ninja win.
• Sushimi is a sushi chef and NPC in Prime Empire. He is the final boss of the game.

Kingdom of Shintaro Inhabitants: Mountain Kingdom

The Dungeons of Shintaro are hidden beneath the Kingdom of Shintaro. They are ruled by an evil Skull Sorcerer and his Awakened Warriors, who are the main bad guys of Season 13, Master of the Mountain. The Skull Sorcerer used a magical skull to bring back the Awakened Warriors. He enslaved the Geckles and Munce to mine Vengestone.

• King Vangelis/The Skull Sorcerer is the main bad guy of Season 13 and Princess Vania's father. He revealed himself to be the Skull Sorcerer. He was defeated by Cole and arrested. He later joined the Council of the Crystal King in Crystalized.
• Princess Vania is the princess of Shintaro and King Vangelis's daughter. She liked Cole and helped the Ninja discover the mines. She became queen after her father's defeat.
• Hailmar is King Vangelis's right-hand man and leader of the Winged Guards.

• Gulch is the leader of the Geckles. He made Kai and Zane undergo a trial. He was later restored as chancellor.
• Gleck is a Geckle who had a locket belonging to Cole's mother, Lilly.
• Fungus is a skilled alchemist magician and a member of the Upply. He was betrayed by King Vangelis.
• Korgran is a skilled warrior from Metalonia and a member of the Upply. He uses a sentient axe.
• Plundar is an expert thief and a member of the Upply. He makes decisions with dice. He has a pet spider named Adam.

Island of the Keepers Inhabitants: Tribal Islanders

Chief Mammatus and the Keepers are the false bad guys of The Island. The Keepers are native islanders who worship a mythical sea creature named Wojira.

• Chief Mammatus is the leader of the Keepers. He captured the Ninja but later helped them when he learned about Ronin's trickery.
• Timothy "Twitchy Tim" Batterson is an explorer who was struck by lightning many times. He helped the ninja explore the island.

Merlopians: Undersea People

The Merlopians are aquatic beings who live deep under the Endless Sea in Merlopia. They are the bad guys of Seabound. They attacked Ninjago City under Kalmaar's rule.

• Prince Kalmaar is the main bad guy of Seabound and prince of the Merlopians. He took over from his father, King Trimaar. He was eaten by Wojira.
• King Trimaar is the kind king of the Merlopians, overthrown by his son Kalmaar.
• Benthomaar is King Trimaar's adopted son. He helped the ninja escape. He is now the King of Merlopia.
• Gripe is Kalmaar's servant.
• Glutinous is a Merlopian scientist who helped Kalmaar awaken Wojira.

New Ninja: Replacements

The New Ninja are a group of vigilantes hired by Mayor Trustable to replace the Ninja. They are minor bad guys in Crystalized.

The Claws of Imperium are a military army led by Beatrix. They wanted to take over the Merged Realms by controlling Source Dragons.

• Beatrix Vespasian-Orus was the power-hungry empress of Imperium. She wanted to capture dragons to colonize realms. Her actions were exposed, and she was defeated.
• Rapton is the field leader of the Claws of Imperium. He trapped many dragons. He later joined a resistance.
• Lord Ras is a tiger warrior who served Imperium's military. He is physically strong and uses a hammer.
• Dr. LaRow is the chief scientist in Imperium.
• Jordana is Dr. LaRow's former assistant. She led a project to extract dragon energy.
• Dorama is a former pyro-technician.

• Captain Soto is a recurring bad guy and leader of pirates. He was the original captain of the Destiny's Bounty. He has been both an enemy and an ally.

• The Postman tirelessly delivers mail around Ninjago.
• Warden Noble is the warden of Kryptarium Prison.
• Gayle Gossip is an anchorwoman for NGTV.
• Fred Finely is a reporter for Ninjago City News.
• Dan Vaapit is an anchor for NGTV news.
• Vinny Folson is Gayle Gossip's cameraman.
