The tallest building in Jersey City is 99 Hudson Street. It has 79 floors and stands at 900 feet (274 meters) tall. It was finished in 2018. This makes it the tallest building in all of New Jersey! It's also one of the tallest buildings in the entire United States.
The second tallest building is 30 Hudson Street, often called the "Goldman Sachs Tower." It's 781 feet (238 meters) tall and has 42 floors. It was completed in 2004. The third tallest is Journal Squared Tower 2, which is 754 feet (230 meters) tall with 70 floors.

The story of skyscrapers in Jersey City began a long time ago. The first building often called a skyscraper was the Labor Bank Building, finished in 1928. It was 15 floors tall and 179 feet (55 meters) high. This building is now known as "26 Journal Square" and is a historic landmark.
Jersey City has had a big building boom, especially since the late 1990s. This is when many of the city's tallest buildings, like 30 Hudson Street, were built. This growth is still happening today!
