Maisa da Silva Andrade (born May 22, 2002) is a talented Brazilian actress and TV presenter. She was also a singer. Maisa became famous at a very young age.

She was discovered when she was only three years old. She appeared on a TV show called Programa Raul Gil. A couple of years later, she joined SBT television. There, she hosted popular kids' shows like Sábado Animado and Bom Dia & Cia. She became even more well-known when she shared the show Pergunte a Maisa with Silvio Santos.

As an actress, Maisa is famous for playing Valéria Ferreira in the TV show Carrossel. She also played Juju Almeida in Carinha de Anjo. In movies, she starred as Cíntia Dorella in Cinderela Pop and Gabi in Tudo por um Popstar. She even played her first villain, Júlia, in the film Ela Disse, Ele Disse.

Maisa's Journey in Television and Film

Early Career and TV Shows (2005–2011)

Maisa's career began in 2005 on the TV show Programa Raul Gil. She would sing popular songs by groups like Rouge. In 2007, she moved to SBT. She started hosting Sábado Animado, where she took phone calls and led games. She also hosted Domingo Animado and Bom Dia & Cia.

By 2008, her Saturday show sometimes had more viewers than other big TV programs. She also joined Programa Silvio Santos in a segment called Pergunte a Maisa. Around this time, SBT dressed her up like the child actress Shirley Temple.

In 2009, Maisa released her first music album, Tudo que Me Vem na Cabeça. It included popular songs like Tempo de Mudar. Famous artists like Eliana and Ivete Sangalo were featured on the album.

On October 12, 2011, Maisa left Bom Dia & Cia. She took on the role of Valéria Ferreira in the TV show Carrossel.

Growing Fame and New Projects (2012–2018)

Maisa returned to Sábado Animado in April 2013. She hosted with Ana Zimerman and Matheus Ueta. In 2014, she also hosted Mundo Pet.

In December 2014, she released her first EP (Extended Play) called Eu Cresci!. It had five new songs. The song "NheNheNhem" became very popular in June 2015. However, Maisa shared that she faced bullying at school because of the song.

Maisa started her film career in 2015 with Carrossel: O Filme. A sequel, Carrossel 2: O Sumiço de Maria Joaquina, followed in 2016. That same year, she joined her second TV show, Carinha de Anjo.

She also started writing books. In 2016, she published Sinceramente Maisa, sharing stories about her career. In 2017, she released two more books: O Diário de Maisa about her life, and O Livro de Tweets da +A with her Twitter posts.

Maisa voiced Nina in the animated film Ferdinand, which came out in Brazil in January 2018. By August 2018, she was one of the most-watched people on Instagram Stories in Brazil. In December, she became the most followed teenager in the world for a short time.

In 2018, Maisa also starred in the film Cinderela Pop as Cintia Dorella. The movie was released in February 2019.

Her Own Show and New Adventures (2019–Present)

In 2019, Maisa got her own talk show on SBT, called Programa da Maisa. She hosted it with comedian Oscar Filho. She also played her first villain, Júlia, in the film Ela Disse, Ele Disse, released in October 2019. By December 2019, she was recognized as one of Brazil's top digital influencers.

In 2020, Maisa attended a Dolce and Gabbana fashion show in Milan. She also starred in her first Netflix film, Pai em Dobro. In October 2020, Maisa announced she was leaving SBT after 13 years. She wanted to work on new personal and professional projects. Her show, Programa da Maisa, ended with her departure.

In December 2020, Maisa became an entrepreneur. She co-founded Mudah, an agency that connects brands with artists for marketing and advertising work.

In 2021, Maisa was cast in the new Netflix series, De Volta aos 15. The series premiered in 2022. Maisa plays the teenage version of the main character, Anita. The show was very successful and was renewed for a second season, which came out in 2023. A third season was released in 2024.

Maisa's Personal Life

Maisa is an only child. She was born in ABC Paulista and lived in São José dos Campos until she was seven. In 2009, she moved to Alphaville for her career.

In October 2013, when she was eleven, Maisa decided to stop wearing her hair in its characteristic curls. She preferred to wear it straight.

Maisa identifies as a feminist. She believes that understanding how women have been seen throughout history makes her want to use her identity as a woman to her advantage.

Maisa's Public Speaking

Because of her long career and experience in communication, Maisa is often invited to speak at big events. She is a respected voice in media.

  • "Você tem Sonhos?" (Do you have Dreams?): Maisa's first big talk was for 8,000 young people in São Paulo. She spoke about dreams and goals.
  • ProXXIma 2019: At a communication event, Maisa talked about her career, advertising, and working with the media.
  • YOUPIX Summit 2019: Maisa interviewed Paulo Marinho. They discussed online and offline communication and the future of content creation.
