Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. (also known as MSI) is a big company from Taiwan. It designs and makes computer parts and other tech products. MSI is famous for its gaming laptops, desktop computers, and parts like motherboards and graphics cards. They also make monitors, servers, and even car entertainment systems.
MSI was started on August 4, 1986, by five friends: Joseph Hsu, Jeans Huang, Frank Lin, Kenny Yu, and Henry Lu. The company's shares are traded on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

How MSI Works Around the World
MSI began its business in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Over time, it grew and opened factories in China. A factory was set up in Shenzhen in 2000. They also built research and development centers in Kunshan in 2001.
MSI offers warranty services globally. This means customers in North America, South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe can get help. The main headquarters are in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Many different teams work there.

MSI's Journey Through Time
The five founders of MSI all used to work for Sony. When Sony reduced its staff in 1985, these five engineers decided to start their own company. They founded Micro Star International in August 1986.
In 1997, MSI opened its first factory in Zhonghe, Taiwan. A third factory in Zhonghe opened in 2000. That same year, MSI Computer (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was started in China. In 2001, MSI Electronics (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. was founded. MSI also set up a logistics center in the Netherlands in 2002 to help with shipping in Europe. The company became public in 1998, meaning its shares could be bought and sold on the Taipei Stock Exchange.
In 2003, MSI released the "Mega PC." This was a unique computer that looked like a stereo system.
In 2017, MSI made a deal with Mustek to distribute its laptops. In April 2017, MSI also named partners for its Mystic Light Sync system. This system allows different computer parts to have synchronized RGB lighting. Companies like Corsair, SteelSeries, and Cooler Master joined this effort.
Also in April 2017, MSI started a program called "Join the Dragon." This program helps find talented eSports teams to sponsor. They partnered with ESL for ESL One events in 2018. MSI became an official partner of ESL One Cologne 2018, a major Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event. MSI also sponsored the Method eSports team in August 2018. MSI and ESL worked together to bring the MGA 2018 grand finals to New York.
In 2019, MSI and Ubisoft worked together on "Ambient Link." This feature synchronized game lighting with games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
In September 2020, MSI introduced new laptops for business use. These were part of the "Modern," "Prestige," and "Summit" lines. They also revealed a new logo just for these models.
