Mika Sue Boorem (born August 18, 1987) is an American actress. She started her career as a child actress. Mika appeared in TV shows like Touched by an Angel and Ally McBeal. She became well-known for her acting in The Education of Little Tree (1997).
After playing supporting roles in Jack Frost and Mighty Joe Young (both 1998), Mika got a main role. This was in the drama Hearts in Atlantis (2001). In this movie, she acted alongside Anton Yelchin and Anthony Hopkins. This role brought her more praise.
Mika also had important supporting parts in the war drama The Patriot (2000) and the thriller Along Came a Spider (2001). She then starred in many teen films in the early 2000s. Mika Boorem was born on August 18, 1987. She was born in Tucson, Arizona. Her parents are Holly and Benjamin Boorem. She has an older brother named Benjamin Jr. Mika's father works as a gemologist, someone who studies gems.
Mika began acting in local plays in Arizona. Later, her family moved to Los Angeles. There, she went to Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles. This was a special school that taught in both French and English.
First Acting Jobs as a Child
Mika's first TV role was in 1996. She was a guest on the show Touched by an Angel. Before that, in 1995, she appeared as herself in a video called Beach Party at Walt Disney World.
In 1997, she had a supporting role in The Education of Little Tree. Critics liked her performance in this movie. She was even nominated for a Young Artist Award for her role. The same year, Mika played a younger version of the main character in the pilot episode of Ally McBeal. She also appeared in a TV movie called A Walton Easter.

In 2019, Mika visited the Arkansas Arts Academy High School. She gave a workshop about the film industry. Students from the academy helped film the premiere of Hollywood.Con in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
