Alisher Tagirovich Morgenshtern (born Alisher Tagirovich Valeyev on 17 February 1998), known simply as Morgenshtern, is a Russian rapper, hip-hop, pop and rock singer, songwriter and record producer.
He became famous in 2018 by making parody videos of popular music artists. He shared these videos on his YouTube channel.

About Morgenshtern
Alisher Tagirovich Valeyev was born on 17 February 1998, in Ufa, Russia. As a teenager, he changed his last name to Morgenshtern. His mother is of Russian-Jewish background, and his father was of Bashkir background. His mother worked as a florist. His parents divorced, and his father passed away when Alisher was 11 years old.
Alisher has been interested in music since he was a child. When he was a teenager, he also enjoyed skateboarding. He released his first music video in 2010.
He went to university for a short time but was asked to leave. The university said it was because of his "frank activities on YouTube." Morgenshtern also performed music on the street. He was the main singer of a rock band called MMD Crew. They even worked on a song with the Russian rapper Face.
He is well-known for his YouTube show called "#EasyRap".
In April 2021, Morgenshtern gave money to a charity that helps orphans in Bashkiria. This was a very large donation from a private person. The money was used to help a project called "Mentoring."
In May 2022, the Russian Ministry of Justice added Morgenshtern to a list of "foreign agents." This happened after he received money from an Israeli media company and for some things he said about Victory Day. Morgenshtern later said he was sorry on his Telegram channel. He tried to get removed from the list, but he is still on it as of 28th of July 2025.
Morgenshtern's Personal Life
His Relationship with Dilara
From 2017, Alisher dated Dilara Zinatullina. They broke up in October 2019. However, they got back together in the summer of 2020. They got married in Moscow on 31 August 2021. Alisher asked Dilara to marry him in July while they were filming a music video. Dilara said yes.
On 8 April 2022, a song called Selyavi was released. In this song, Alisher hinted that he and Dilara were separating. The next day, on 9 April, Dilara posted a YouTube video saying that she and Morgenshtern had broken up.
Health and Well-being
Alisher has shared that he has been diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder and depression.
In February 2025, Alisher had all the tattoos removed from his face.
Morgenshtern's Music Career
On 17 January 2020, Morgenshtern released an album called "Legendary Dust". He recorded this album in just one week while streaming live online. This album became his most successful one. It got one million listens on VK in the first 30 minutes. In 11 hours, it had five million listens. In the first two days after it came out, the album was listened to over 21 million times on VK. This was a new record for that social network. On 30 January 2020, he appeared on the "Evening Urgant" TV show.
On 5 March 2020, he released the song "Malyshka" with Russian musician Sharlot. On 5 June 2020, he released the song "Pososi". The official music video for this song is currently the most disliked YouTube video in Russia. On 9 June 2020, he released the song "Cadillac" with Eldzhey. On 31 July 2020, he released the song "Ice", which became very popular on TikTok.
On 3 November 2020, Morgenshtern, who was named Russia's Most Successful Showman and Artist of 2020, was interviewed by Yury Dud. The interview lasted almost three hours.
In July 2021, Spotify announced that Morgenshtern was the most listened-to artist from Russia on their platform.
Soon after, Morgenshtern traveled outside of Russia. All of his planned concerts in Russia were canceled. On 10 December, Morgenshtern released the song "Domoy" (meaning "Home"). This song was about him leaving Russia for the UAE.
Morgenshtern's Business Ventures
In 2020, Morgenshtern shared his plan to open a restaurant in the center of Moscow. On 25 June 2020, Alisher Morgenshtern and Eduard Popov (also known as "Janis Grek") started a company called "KAIF". In October 2020, Morgenshtern opened a restaurant in Moscow. In September 2021, he opened another restaurant.
In March 2021, Morgenshtern was named "youth director" for Alfa-Bank.
Morgenshtern's Views on Current Events
Morgenshtern has spoken against the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. His 2022 song 12 talks about this. In the song, Morgenshtern criticizes leaders who send soldiers to war. In May 2022, he was labeled a "foreign agent" in Russia.
In June 2023, the government of Kyrgyzstan canceled his performance at a music festival in Bishkek. Authorities said Morgenshtern had a "bad influence" on young people.
He supported the 2024 Bashkortostan protests. He posted a picture of the Bashkir national hero Salawat Yulayev on social media.
In 2024, Morgenshtern's concerts in the UAE were canceled. He was also not allowed to enter Dubai. This happened after Russian authorities put him on a blacklist and called him a "foreign agent."
