Natanael Rubén Cano Monge (born March 27, 2001) is a Mexican singer, musician, and rapper. He is famous for mixing two music styles: trap music and regional Mexican corridos. This new style is called corridos tumbados. The idea to combine these two types of music came from Dan Sanchez, who wrote Natanael's first corrido tumbado song, "Soy el Diablo".

Early Life and Musical Start
Natanael Cano was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. When he was seven, he loved to show his musical talent at family parties. At thirteen, he taught himself to play the piano using videos on YouTube. He learned songs like "Rayando el Sol" by the Mexican band Maná.
Later, he became very interested in regional Mexican corridos, especially those by Ariel Camacho. Camacho was a big inspiration for him. When Natanael was 16, he released his first song on YouTube, "El de los Lentes Gucci". This song was one of the first to mix hip-hop/trap with corridos, which he now calls corridos tumbados.
Music Career Journey
Starting Out: 2018–2019
Natanael Cano began his music career in 2018. He uploaded videos of himself playing guitar on YouTube. Soon, he started performing in smaller venues. In 2019, he signed with an independent music company called Five Music. Under this label, he released his first official song, "El de los Lentes Gucci".
Later that year, he released his first full album, Todo Es Diferente. His music caught the eye of Jimmy Humilde, who owns Rancho Humilde, a music company in Los Angeles. Natanael signed with Rancho Humilde in March 2019. After releasing more songs on his own, he put out his first song with Rancho Humilde, "El Drip". This song became popular and appeared on the US Hot Latin Songs chart.
Natanael also worked with the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. They made a new version of "Soy el Diablo," which was a song from Natanael's first album. After this, Cano released his second album, Corridos Tumbados. This album featured other artists like Junior H and Dan Sánchez. He also released two shorter music collections, called EPs, in 2019: Mi Verdad Corridos Tumbados and Mi Nuevo Yo.
Natanael Cano also partnered with Warner Music Latin and Apple Music. He was the first artist to combine trap music with regional Mexican corridos in this way. This made him stand out. He was also the first Mexican artist to be named "artist of the month" by Apple Music Up Next. This program helps find new rising stars. This was a big achievement for Cano, showing his success in music.
His Unique Music Style
Natanael Cano is known for creating corridos tumbados. This style mixes traditional Mexican songs with the lyrics and beats of trap music and sometimes hip-hop. Many people call him the "king of corridos tumbados" because he is so well-known for this music.
Cano explains that his music is "the sound of regional Mexican music but with the sound of the new generation." Traditional corridos often tell stories about everyday life, challenges, or even events related to crime. Natanael's music brings a fresh, modern feel to these stories.
In his earlier career, Natanael was greatly inspired by corridos from artists like Gerardo Ortíz and Ariel Camacho. He has said that if he could see any artist perform, it would be Ariel Camacho, who passed away before Natanael could see him live. Later, he was also inspired by a group called Legado 7, known for their "lumbre corridos" (fire corridos), which were new and different.
Natanael's songs are often based on his own experiences or those of his friends. He is also inspired by popular musicians like Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez, and J Balvin. Natanael hopes to work with many different Latin trap artists in the future. He especially dreams of collaborating with Anuel AA, and has also mentioned Bad Bunny and Mickey Woods Jr.
