Natanael Rubén Cano Monge (born on March 27, 2001) is a talented Mexican rapper, musician, and singer. He is famous for mixing two music styles: trap music and regional Mexican corridos. This new style is called corridos tumbados. The idea to combine these sounds came from Dan Sanchez, who wrote Natanael's first corrido tumbado song, "Soy el Diablo".

Natanael Cano's Early Life
Natanael Cano was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He started showing his musical talent at family events when he was just seven years old. At thirteen, he taught himself to play the piano by watching videos on YouTube. He learned songs like "Rayando el Sol" by the Mexican band Maná.
Later, he focused on regional Mexican corridos. He was greatly inspired by artists like Ariel Camacho. When he was 16, Natanael released his first song on YouTube, "El de los Lentes Gucci". This song was one of the first to mix hip-hop/trap with corridos, creating what he now calls corridos tumbados.
Natanael Cano's Music Career
Starting His Music Journey: 2018–2019
Natanael Cano began his music career in 2018. He started by uploading guitar covers to YouTube. Soon, he was performing in smaller venues. In 2019, he signed with an independent music company called Five Music. Under this label, he released his first official song, "El de los Lentes Gucci".
Later that year, he released his first album, Todo Es Diferente. His music caught the attention of Jimmy Humilde, who owns Rancho Humilde, a music label in Los Angeles. Natanael signed with Rancho Humilde in March 2019. After this, he released his first song with Rancho Humilde, "El Drip". This song became popular and reached the US Hot Latin Songs chart.
Natanael also worked with the famous Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. They made a remix of "Soy el Diablo," which was a song from Natanael's first album. After this big collaboration, Cano released his second album, Corridos Tumbados. This album featured other artists like Junior H and Dan Sánchez. By the end of 2019, he also released two shorter music collections called EPs: Mi Verdad Corridos Tumbados and Mi Nuevo Yo.
Growing Success and New Partnerships
Natanael Cano later partnered with Warner Music Latin and Apple Music. He was the first artist to combine trap music and regional Mexican corridos in this way. This unique style made him stand out. He also became the first Mexican artist to be named "Artist of the Month" by Apple Music Up Next. This program helps discover new rising stars. This achievement showed that Natanael, at just nineteen years old, was a top regional Mexican artist.
Natanael Cano's Unique Music Style
Natanael Cano is known for creating corridos tumbados. This music style combines traditional Mexican corridos with the lyrics and beats of trap music and sometimes hip-hop. Many people call him the "king of corridos tumbados" because he is so well-known for this style.
Natanael says his music is "the sound of regional Mexican music but with the sound of the new generation." Traditional corridos often tell stories about daily life, conflicts, or even crime. Natanael's songs are influenced by his own life experiences or those of his friends. He likes to tell real stories through his music.
He was greatly influenced by regional Mexican artists like Gerardo Ortíz and Ariel Camacho. Natanael has said that if he could see any artist perform, it would be Ariel Camacho, who passed away before Natanael could see him live. He also gets musical inspiration from popular artists like Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez, and J Balvin.
Natanael hopes to work with many different Latin trap artists in the future. He wants these collaborations to happen naturally. He has mentioned that his dream collaboration would be with Anuel AA. He also wants to work with Mickey Woods Jr. and Bad Bunny again.
