When Pierre was three years old, his father passed away in a boating accident. After this, he lived with his mother on a farm in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France. He went to a local school there.
Later, his mother remarried Ernst August, Prince of Hanover. The family then moved to Fontainebleau, which is closer to Paris. Pierre finished high school around 2005. A year later, he moved to Milan, Italy. He studied international economics and management at Bocconi University. Pierre speaks French, Italian, and English very well.
