History of Prévondavaux
Prévondavaux was first mentioned in official records in the year 1403. Back then, it was known by the name Profunda vallis. The municipality also used to have a German name, Tiefental, but this name is no longer used today.

Prévondavaux covers an area of about 1.8 square kilometers (0.7 square miles). This area is used in different ways.
