Teletoon Retro was a TV channel in Canada. It was owned by Corus Entertainment. The channel showed classic cartoons and some live-action shows. It was based on a popular block of shows from the Teletoon channel.

Teletoon Retro, along with its French version, Télétoon Rétro, was very popular. In 2013, over nine million Canadian homes could watch it. This made them the most watched digital specialty channels in Canada.

Teletoon Retro stopped broadcasting on September 1, 2015. After it closed, Cartoon Network took over its license and some of its channel spots.

What Shows Did Teletoon Retro Air?

Teletoon Retro mainly showed old animated programs. The rules for its license said that shows had to be at least 10 years old. Most of the shows were cartoons. However, up to 10% of its programming could be live-action. This allowed the channel to air some classic live-action series too.
