The Little Prince (in French: Le Petit Prince) is a fun computer-animated children's television series. It's based on the famous book of the same name by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The show started airing in late 2010.
This series was made by several companies working together. These include Method Animation, LPPTV, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and others. It was also supported by TV channels like France Télévisions, Rai Fiction, and TV5Monde. The show's music was created by Frederic Talgorn.
The Little Prince has been shown in over 150 countries around the world. It was released as 78 episodes, each about half an hour long. In Canada, an English version started airing in 2011 on TVOntario. It also came to Australia on ABC Me in 2012. You can even watch some episodes online on YouTube!

Meet the Characters
The show features many characters, both good and bad, that the Little Prince meets on his journeys.
Main Characters
- The Little Prince: He is the main hero of the story. He travels from planet to planet to help people.
- The Fox: The Little Prince's loyal friend and helper. He is very clever.
- The Snake: This character is often tricky and tries to cause trouble.
- The Rose: The Little Prince's special flower from his home planet. He misses her a lot.
How the Show Was Made
In 2008, France Télévisions announced they would make an animated series based on The Little Prince. It was planned to air in 2010.
A year later, it was shared that Method Animation would produce the series. It cost about €18.4 million to make. The show was also made in 3D!
The series took three years to develop. It had its first showing in October 2010. Pierre Alain Chartier was the director, and a team of 450 people worked on the show. The series first aired in France during the Christmas holidays in 2010. The French version has a theme song sung by Yannick Noah.
In 2012, it was announced that the show would have a new season. To celebrate, Method Animation held a drawing contest. Kids could create a new planet to be featured in the episodes! The new season started in France in 2014.
