Treyvaux (French: [tʁɛːvo]; Arpitan: Trèvâlx [tʁiˈvo]) is a charming village and a municipality located in the Sarine district of the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It's a lovely place with a rich history and beautiful surroundings.

History of Treyvaux
Treyvaux was first mentioned a very long time ago, between 1163 and 1166. Back then, it was called Tribus Vallibus, which means "Of Three Valleys" in Latin. Over the years, its name changed many times. Some of the old names included Tresvaux, Trevaux, and Trevoul.
Geography of Treyvaux
Treyvaux covers an area of about 11.4 square kilometers (4.4 square miles). A large part of this land, about 63.4%, is used for farming. This means there are lots of fields and pastures.
About 29.5% of the area is covered by forests, with many tall trees. The village itself, with its buildings and roads, takes up about 6.2% of the land. There are also some rivers and lakes, making up 0.6% of the area. A tiny part, 0.1%, is land that can't be used for anything.
Treyvaux is located in the Sarine district, right on the eastern side of the Sarine River.
