Urvashi Rautela (born on February 25, 1994) is an Indian actress and model. She is also a beauty pageant winner. She mostly acts in Hindi and Telugu movies.
Urvashi became well-known after winning the title of Miss Diva- Miss Universe India 2015. She then represented India at Miss Universe 2015. She started modeling when she was 15 years old. She also won the Miss Teen India 2009 title.
Urvashi Rautela made her acting debut in 2013 in the film Singh Saab the Great. She has appeared in other notable movies like Sanam Re (2016), Great Grand Masti (2016), Hate Story 4 (2018), and Pagalpanti (2019). Her film Daaku Maharaaj was released in 2025.

Early Life and Education
Urvashi Rautela was born on February 25, 1994, in Kotdwar. Her parents are Meera Rautela and Manwar Singh Rautela. She comes from a Garhwali family.
Urvashi went to St. Joseph's Convent School in Kotdwar. She later studied at Gargi College in Delhi.
Pageant Career
Early Pageants and Recognition (2009–2015)
Urvashi Rautela started her journey in the fashion world at age 15. She got her first big opportunity at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. She also won the Miss Teen India 2009 title. As a young model, she walked the runway for many fashion events. These included Lakme Fashion Week and Dubai Fashion Week.
In 2011, Urvashi won Indian Princess 2011 and Miss Asian Supermodel 2011. She also won Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 2011 in China. This made her the first Indian woman to win that pageant. She was offered a role in the movie Ishaqzaade. However, she chose not to take it. She wanted to focus on preparing for the Miss Universe pageant instead.
In 2012, Urvashi won the I AM She – Miss Universe India crown. She also received the Miss Photogenic award. But she had to give up her crown because she was too young at the time. In 2015, she competed in Indian pageants again and won. She represented India in Miss Universe 2015.
Acting Career
First Roles and Early Success (2013–2017)
Urvashi Rautela made her debut in Hindi films with Singh Saab The Great. She played the main female role opposite Sunny Deol. After this movie, Urvashi appeared in Yo Yo Honey Singh's music video Love Dose in October 2014.
Soon after, she started acting in Kannada films. Her first Kannada movie was Mr. Airavata. Critics did not like the film much. However, Urvashi's dance performance was praised. A reviewer from Times of India said she was "expressive" and left her mark, especially with her dancing.
Later, she acted in two more Hindi films: Sanam Re and Great Grand Masti. Both movies had average success at the box office. She also appeared in two music videos in 2016. These were Laal Dupatta with Mika Singh and Anupama Raag, and Gal Bann Gayi with Vidyut Jammwal.
In 2017, Urvashi Rautela performed a special dance in the film Kaabil. Her performance was complimented by Amitabh Bachchan. She also made a special appearance in a Bangladeshi film called Porobashinee.
Different Roles and Continued Career (2018–Present)
In 2018, Urvashi appeared in the drama Hate Story 4. A reviewer from the Times of India noted her performance. They said she handled "myriad emotions and shades with ease."
In February 2019, Rautela was in Anees Bazmee's comedy film Pagalpanti. This movie did not receive good reviews and was not a big success.
In 2020, she starred in Virgin Bhanupriya, a comedy-drama. The film was released online on ZEE5 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Urvashi Rautela made her Tamil film debut with The Legend. In 2023, she performed a special dance number in the Telugu film Waltair Veerayya. She also made another special appearance in a song for the Telugu film Agent. She appeared in a song in Skanda (2023).
Upcoming Films
Urvashi Rautela has finished filming Ghuspaithiya. This movie is a remake of the Tamil film Thiruttu Payale 2. She is also set to play a main role in the Telugu film Black Rose.
Urvashi Rautela is also expected to make her Hollywood debut. She will be in a Netflix film called Renata Fonte. She will star alongside Michele Morrone. The film is directed by Barbara Bialowas. In March 2024, she shared a poster for the film JNU: Jahangir National University.
In the Media
Urvashi Rautela launched her own app. It helps fans get information about her. She was also honored as the Youngest Most Beautiful Woman in the Universe 2018. This award was given by the government of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. She also received the Uttarakhand Maharatna Award. This award came from the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
On October 24, 2020, Urvashi Rautela became the first Indian woman to walk the runway for the Emirati brand Amato. This was at the Arab Fashion Week. She also received the Global Icon award at the Luxury Network International Awards 2022 in Morocco.
