Volleyball at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's qualification facts for kids
The women's qualification for the Olympic volleyball tournament happened between September 2023 and June 2024. This process decided which twelve teams would play in the final tournament. As the host country, France automatically got a spot for its women's team. This was the first time France's women's team participated in the Olympic volleyball tournament.
The other eleven spots were filled in two main ways. First, the top two teams from each of three special Olympic qualification tournaments earned their places directly. Second, the last five spots were given to teams based on their world rankings by June 2024. This was done to make sure teams from all continents had a chance to play, especially if their continent didn't have a team qualified yet.

Teams that Competed
The FIVB announced which twenty-four teams could play in these Olympic qualification tournaments. They chose these teams based on their world rankings from September 12, 2022.
