Vuibroye was a small town, or municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Vaud, within the Lavaux-Oron area.

On January 1, 2012, Vuibroye joined with several other towns. These included Bussigny-sur-Oron, Châtillens, Chesalles-sur-Oron, Ecoteaux, Oron-la-Ville, Oron-le-Châtel, Palézieux, Les Tavernes, and Les Thioleyres. Together, they formed a new, larger municipality called Oron.

Geography of Vuibroye

Vuibroye was a small place, covering about 1.4 square kilometers (0.54 square miles) in 2009. Most of its land was used for farming. About 83% of the area was farmland.

Forests covered about 11% of Vuibroye. The remaining land, about 8.6%, was built-up areas like buildings and roads. A tiny part, less than 1%, was made up of rivers or lakes.

In the built-up areas, most space was for homes and other buildings. Roads and transportation took up a smaller part. The forests were a mix of dense woods and smaller groups of trees.

For farming, people grew crops on most of the land. Some areas were used for pastures where animals grazed. A small part was for orchards or vineyards. All the water in Vuibroye was from flowing rivers or streams.

Before 2006, Vuibroye was part of the Oron District. After that, it became part of the new Lavaux-Oron district.
