Oron-la-Ville is a small town in Switzerland. It used to be its own town, but on January 1, 2012, it joined with several other towns to form a new, bigger town called Oron. It is located in the Vaud area, which is called a canton in Switzerland.

History of Oron-la-Ville
Oron-la-Ville has a long history. It was first mentioned around the year 280. Back then, it was known as Uromago. Later, in 1018, its name changed to Auronum.
Geography of Oron-la-Ville
Oron-la-Ville covers an area of about 3.1 square kilometers (1.2 square miles). A big part of this land, about 66.5%, is used for farming. This means you'll see many fields where crops grow.
About 12.6% of the area is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 19%, has buildings and roads. There are also small rivers and lakes, making up about 0.6% of the area.
The town is located next to the Broye River. It sits in the eastern part of the Jorat region.
