Wishology is a special three-part TV movie from the animated series The Fairly OddParents. It first aired on Nickelodeon in the United States over three days in May 2009. The first part, "The Big Beginning", was shown on May 1. "The Exciting Middle Part" followed on May 2, and "The Final Ending" concluded the story on May 3.

The movie was written by Kevin Sullivan, Scott Fellows, and Butch Hartman, who also directed it. Many people watched Wishology; the first and third parts had about 4 million viewers each, and the second part had 3.6 million viewers. Critics had different opinions about how the 3D computer animation mixed with the show's usual 2D cartoon style. The music composer, Guy Moon, even won an Annie Award in 2010 for his work on the first part of the movie.

Wishology tells the story of Timmy Turner, a 10-year-old boy, and his magical fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda. They also have a baby fairy godbrother named List of characters in The Fairly OddParents#Poof. These fairies grant Timmy's wishes. The adventure begins when robots called Eliminators arrive in Timmy's hometown, Dimmsdale. Their goal is to destroy Timmy, who they call the "chosen one".

Jorgen von Strangle, a tough fairy general, takes Timmy to the Cave of Destiny. This special cave in Fairy World holds old prophecies about the "chosen one". Fairy World is a magical place floating on a cloud in space, connected to Earth by a rainbow bridge. Jorgen explains an ancient legend carved on the cave wall. It tells of fairy warriors who fought the Eliminators and their leader, a giant black hole known as The Darkness. To defeat The Darkness and its Eliminators, Timmy must find and use three powerful wands: the white wand, the wind wand, and the ice wand.

The movie features many guest voices. Gary Anthony Sturgis voices the Lead Eliminator, who later becomes the powerful Destructinator. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from the rock band Kiss appear as guardians of the white wand. Patrick Warburton voices agents from the Military Extraterrestrial Research Facility (M.E.R.F.). Brendan Fraser voices Turbo Thunder, a warrior who believes he is the true chosen one. Wishology also makes fun of famous fantasy and science fiction movies like The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Terminator, Men in Black, Back to the Future, and Star Wars.

Plot Summary

Part 1: The Big Beginning

Timmy wishes to star in his own movie trilogy, like The Matrix or The Lord of the Rings. But Jorgen suddenly appears, takes Timmy's fairy godparents away, and sends Timmy home. When Timmy gets there, his parents and friends don't remember him! An Eliminator robot shows up after Timmy says his own name. In an alley, the Eliminator tries to suck Timmy into a space vortex. Jorgen saves him, and they escape on a fairy motorcycle, teleporting to Fairy World like in Back to the Future.

In Fairy World, Jorgen has hidden the other fairies as gumballs in a truck stop. Cosmo, Wanda, and List of characters in The Fairly OddParents#Poof escape when Cosmo is blown into a bubble. The other fairies follow their lead. At the Cave of Destiny, Jorgen explains the prophecy. Long ago, fairy warriors fought The Darkness with light. They hid a powerful white wand for the "chosen one," Timmy Turner. As stars disappear and The Darkness gets closer, Timmy returns to Earth. He finds his godparents in Las Vegas at a rock festival. The band Kiss reveals they are the protectors of the white wand, which is their star-shaped guitar. The Darkness and Eliminators attack, but the fairies fight back. Timmy defeats The Darkness with a rock solo on the white wand. Everyone celebrates in Fairy World, but then Turbo Thunder appears. He was supposed to be the chosen one and takes the white wand from Timmy.

Part 2: The Exciting Middle Part

Eliminators and The Darkness invade Yugopotamia, a planet of squid-like aliens. They steal "fake-i-fiers," belts that let users change into anyone. Mark Chang, the Yugopotamian prince, travels to Earth. Meanwhile, Timmy and Cosmo are watching Timmy's "Chosen One" movie in Fairy World. Mark arrives and tells Timmy that The Darkness is back. They discover a second part of the prophecy: Timmy must find the wind wand at the Blue Moon. Timmy and Mark teleport back to Dimmsdale. They find Timmy's parents and friends are actually Eliminators in disguise.

Since his real family and friends are gone, Timmy asks for help from people who usually don't like him: Mr. Crocker, Dark Laser, and Vicky. They put their differences aside and fly into space on Dark Laser's ship, like in Star Wars. They stop at planet Frigidarium, but the aliens there are Eliminators. They send Timmy's enemies to Abracatraz Prison in Fairy World. Turbo Thunder saves Timmy and Mark. The three eventually reach the Blue Moon, where a rock guardian gives Timmy the wind wand.

Meanwhile, the Eliminators imprison the fairies at Abracatraz. They put Timmy's friends and family in the same cell with his godparents and Jorgen. Poof frees everyone, and Jorgen takes them to the Blue Moon. Timmy's friends, enemies, family, and the fairies work together to defeat the Eliminators. Timmy has a happy reunion with everyone, but The Darkness tries to suck him in. The wind wand doesn't work. Timmy feels he has no choice and sacrifices himself into The Darkness. But Cosmo throws candy-filled dynamite into The Darkness, causing a huge explosion, similar to Luke Skywalker blowing up the Death Star. Everyone mourns Timmy, especially Trixie, who he kissed.

Part 3: The Final Ending

Timmy wakes up in what looks like his bedroom, but it's just an illusion inside The Darkness. His fairy godparents and Jorgen rescue him, and they successfully escape. Back on Earth, the Lead Eliminator uses Jorgen's wand to send Timmy's friends and family into The Darkness. M.E.R.F. agents attack the Eliminator with weapons, but he absorbs them. This makes him even stronger, turning him into the Destructinator. He covers Earth with a steel casing, turning the M.E.R.F. agents into his helpers. They plant explosives inside Earth and give the Destructinator a remote to set them off.

Timmy and his fairies return to the Blue Moon in an M.E.R.F. escape pod to get the wind wand. A weakened Turbo Thunder reveals that the wind wand only opens a secret cave. This cave holds more magical wands and the final part of the prophecy: to find the ice wand. The group returns to Fairy World with the wands to free the imprisoned fairies. Then, everyone heads back to Earth. The fairies use their magic to remove the metal casing from Earth. Timmy flies into space with the Destructinator chasing him. The Destructinator attacks Timmy, sending him back down to Earth's North Pole. Timmy tricks the Destructinator into inhaling the explosives. He then reveals he stole the detonator remote in space and uses it to destroy the Destructinator.

A polar bear, who guards the ice wand, raises it from under the ocean. The fairies add an ice wand to each planet in the Solar System. Along with the white wand at Fairy World, these wands create a giant celestial smile in space. This smile shines its light into The Darkness. The light transforms The Darkness into a bright sun called The Kindness. Timmy realizes that The Darkness was just looking for a friend all along. The group returns to Dimmsdale. An Eliminator, now called a 'Hug'inator by Cosmo, crashes in front of them. It spits out everyone who had been sucked into The Darkness. Everyone celebrates Timmy's accomplishment with a big party in Fairy World.
