This article is about the people who want to become the Republican Party's candidate for President of the United States in the 2024 United States presidential election. To become the candidate, they first have to win a series of elections called "primaries" or "caucuses" in different states. These elections help the party choose one person to represent them in the main presidential election.
As of December 2023, over 400 people had told the Federal Election Commission (FEC) they wanted to run for the Republican nomination. The FEC is a government agency that keeps track of money in elections.
