Aitana Ocaña Morales (born June 27, 1999), known simply as Aitana, is a Spanish pop singer and actress. She became famous in 2017 as the runner-up in the TV show Operación Triunfo. While on the show, Aitana recorded the song "Lo Malo" with another contestant, Ana Guerra. This song quickly became a huge hit in Spain.
After the show, Aitana signed a record deal with Universal Music. She then released her first solo song, "Teléfono". This song was very successful and broke streaming records. Her first album, Spoiler, came out in 2019. It was even nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. She went on a big concert tour called Play Tour for this album.
In late 2020, Aitana released her second album, 11 Razones. This album included popular songs like "+ (Más)" with Cali y El Dandee and "Corazón Sin Vida" with Sebastián Yatra. Aitana also started acting in the Disney+ series La Última in 2022. She recorded the soundtrack for this show too. In 2023, she explored electropop music with her album Alpha.

Early Life and Beginnings
Aitana Ocaña Morales was born in Barcelona, Spain, on June 27, 1999. She is the only child of Cosme Ocaña and Belén Morales. Aitana grew up in Viladecans and later moved to Sant Climent de Llobregat.
Discovering Music on YouTube
In 2014, Aitana started sharing her singing online. She posted cover versions of popular songs on YouTube. During that same year, she also released her very first original songs.
Joining Operación Triunfo
In 2017, Aitana finished high school. She planned to study design at university. However, she decided to audition for the TV show Operación Triunfo. She was chosen to be a contestant on the show's ninth season.

2017–2018: Operación Triunfo and First Hits
In October 2017, Aitana joined the music reality show Operación Triunfo. After more than three months, she finished as the runner-up.
Eurovision and "Lo Malo"
During the show, Aitana competed to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. She sang two songs: "Arde" by herself, and "Lo Malo" as a duet with Ana Guerra. "Lo Malo" became a huge hit in Spain, even though it wasn't chosen for Eurovision. It was number one on the charts for five weeks. A new version of "Lo Malo" with Greeicy and Tini was released in August 2018.
First Solo Success
Aitana went on a tour with her Operación Triunfo friends from March to December 2018. In July, she released her first solo song, "Teléfono". This song became her first number-one solo hit in Spain. It stayed at the top for six weeks. The music video for "Teléfono" was the most-watched video on YouTube's Vevo channel in Spain in its first 24 hours.
"Teléfono" was part of her first EP (Extended Play) called Tráiler. This EP came out on November 30, 2018. It had six original songs, including one with Venezuelan-American singer Lele Pons. A week later, "Vas a Quedarte" was released. This song, written with the band Morat, became her third number-one hit in Spain.
2019-2020: Spoiler and 11 Razones Albums
Aitana started hinting about her first full album in March 2019. She had planned to release another EP, but then decided on a full album instead. She announced the album's name, Spoiler, and that it would be released in early summer.
Collaborations and Debut Album
In April 2019, she worked with Morat again on "Presiento". In May, she sang with former One Direction member Zayn on a new version of "A Whole New World" for Disney's Aladdin movie. On May 17, 2019, she released "Nada Sale Mal", the first song from her new album.
Her album Spoiler was released on June 7, 2019. It went straight to number one on the charts. It was also nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. Later that month, her song "Me Quedo" with Lola Indigo was released. Aitana was also nominated for Best New Artist at the 20th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.
11 Razones and New Sounds
Aitana released "+ (Más)" with Cali y El Dandee on December 18, 2019. This song was very popular in Spain and showed a new pop rock sound for Aitana. In April 2020, she sang with David Bisbal on "Si Tú la Quieres". This song won a LOS40 Music Award.
Her second album, 11 Razones, was released on December 11, 2020. This album had a sound similar to pop rock from the early 2000s. It reached number one on the Spanish charts. Aitana then went on the 11 Razones Tour for this album.
2021-Present: Acting and Alpha
In April 2021, Aitana released "Ni Una Más", a song about women's rights. She also collaborated with other artists. Her song "Mon Amour" with Zzoilo became a number-one hit in Spain for six weeks. In September, she released the solo song "Berlín", which was popular on TikTok.
Acting Debut and Alpha Album
In 2022, Aitana starred as a singer named Candela in the Disney+ show La Última. She also helped write and produce most of the songs for the show's soundtrack. The soundtrack had 16 songs and was well-received.

In 2024, Aitana began working on her fourth album. She traveled to Los Angeles and Miami to meet with producers. In January 2024, she visited the contestants of Operación Triunfo 2023, returning to where her career started. In April, she collaborated with Sebastián Yatra again on the song "Akureyri".
Aitana announced her first solo concert at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. This stadium can hold over 60,000 people. The tickets sold out very quickly. She then announced a second concert at the same stadium. However, due to stadium issues, these concerts were moved to June 2025.
In early July 2025, she released the solo song "4TO 23", which brought back a pop sound with synthpop elements. Later in July 2025, she collaborated with British singer Sam Smith on a version of his song "Like I Can" (2014) in both Spanish and English. In October 2024, she received a Music award from Harper's Bazaar. She also collaborated on Quevedo’s album Buenas Noches with the song "Gran Vía", which quickly became a top-streamed song.
2025: Metamorfosis and Cuarto Azul
In January 2025, Aitana started a new musical era for her fourth album. The first song from this album, "Segundo Intento", was released. On February 28, 2025, her documentary Aitana: Metamorfosis premiered on Netflix. In March 2025, she released another song from her fourth album, "Sentimiento Natural", with Puerto Rican artist Myke Towers. She also announced her limited stadium tour, Metamorfosis Season. Her fourth studio album, Cuarto azul, was released in 2025.

Aitana has worked with many big brands. In 2018, she became the youngest ambassador for the clothing company Inditex. She also partnered with Rimmel London and Good Hair Day. She even took part in a Coca-Cola Christmas campaign.
Collaborations with Brands
In 2020, Aitana became the new face for Multiópticas, an optical company. She also became an ambassador for the French fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent. She worked with Coca-Cola again for their #OpenToBetter campaign, which also featured Katy Perry. As part of this, Aitana and Perry recorded a new version of Perry's song "Resilient".
In 2021, Aitana released a clothing collection with Puma. In September, she worked with McDonald's to create a special meal called "McAitana" in Spain. Aitana's relationships have often been in the news. In 2018, she dated her Operación Triunfo friend Luis Cepeda. Later in 2018, she started a relationship with actor Miguel Bernardeau. They were co-stars in the Disney+ series Our Only Chance. In December 2022, it was reported that they had broken up. In August 2023, it was confirmed she was dating Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra, but their relationship ended in 2024. In May 2025, it was revealed she is dating YouTuber Plex.
