Angelo Christopher Moore (born November 5, 1965) is an American musician. He is best known as the lead singer and saxophonist for the band Fishbone. This band plays ska and funk metal music.

Angelo Moore also performs under the name Dr. MadVibe. He has worked with many famous bands. These include the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Gwen Stefani. He has played in over 3300 shows during his career. Angelo currently lives in Woodland Hills, California.

About Angelo Moore

Angelo Moore grew up in Southern California. He lived in the San Fernando Valley. He went to Platt Ranch Elementary School. Later, he attended Hale Junior High School in Woodland Hills. There, he met the other original members of Fishbone.

Angelo's father, William George Moore, was an English teacher. He also played saxophone for Count Basie. His mother, Dazireen Daretta Johnson, was an English teacher too. From a young age, his parents introduced him to different types of music. These included jazz, soul, blues, and funk.

Angelo went to El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills. He later attended Pierce College. But he left college to perform with Fishbone.

Angelo's Other Projects

Besides his work with Fishbone, Angelo Moore has done many other things. In 1993, he released a book of poems. It was called Dr. Madd Vibe's Comprehensive Linkology. He also performed a spoken part for the band Tool.

In 1997, he released his first solo music CD. It was also called Dr. Madd Vibe's Comprehensive Linkology. He also released his first video, The Delusional Quandaries Of Dr. Madd Vibe. In 2000, he released another CD and video set. It was titled The Yin-Yang Thang. In 2006, he released the CD Dr. Madd Vibe's Medicine Cabinet.

In 2010, Moore released "The Angelo Show." Fans helped fund this project through a kickstarter campaign. Angelo also appeared in the movie Idlewild. He played the bandleader in the film. This movie featured Outkast members Big Boi and Andre 3000.

On June 26, 2012, Angelo Moore and the Rondo Brothers released a song. It was called "Brand New Step." It came out under the Ninth Street Opus record label.

In 2020, Angelo made a positive change in his life. He also created a Patreon site. On this site, he shares works like "The Mirror of What" and "Story Time Theater." In July 2021, he played a manager in a music video. It was for a Metallica cover song by the band Off!.

In 2022, Moore joined the "Celebrating David Bowie" tour. He performed with artists like Adrian Belew and Todd Rundgren.

In 2023, Moore started his own business called Dr. MadVibe's Underground Railroad. He has been performing with Dr. MadVibe and the Missin' Links. This group includes past and current members of Fishbone. Moore has also created a Dr. MadVibe orchestra. He has led and performed with them in the United States and Europe. He also performs with the New York City band Butterbrain. He sings on their song "Sapio Soirée." He is also helping to produce their second album.
