The Mexican Grand Prix was held at this track from 1963 to 1970. Then, Formula One racing took a break from the circuit. F1 cars returned in 1986 and raced there until 1992. Even when F1 wasn't there, the track has always been busy. It hosts many different racing events. For example, it hosted the Nationwide Series from 2005 to 2008.
