Barrios of San Juan, Puerto Rico facts for kids
San Juan is the capital city of Puerto Rico. Like many cities, it's divided into smaller areas. These areas are called barrios. San Juan has 18 main barrios.
Most of these barrios, 16 of them, used to be part of a different town called Río Piedras. Río Piedras joined San Juan in 1951. Some barrios are even divided into smaller parts called subbarrios. This helps organize the city even more.
