The Bremgarten District is about 117.47 square kilometers (45.36 square miles) big. That's a good chunk of land! Almost half of this land, about 48.7%, is used for farming. This means there are many fields and farms.
About 30.9% of the district is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 18.1%, is where people live and build things. This includes towns, roads, and other buildings.

The Bremgarten District has a population of 79366 people. This number changes over time.
In the year 2000, there were many different types of homes. For example, there were 2,402 homes where only one or two people lived. Most homes, 11,781 of them, had three or four people living together. There were also 9,773 homes with five or more people. On average, about 2.43 people lived in each home.
By 2008, there were almost 30,000 homes and apartments in total. About 10,969 of these were single-family homes. This means they were houses just for one family. Only a small number of apartments, about 479, were empty.

Another 16,065 people, or 26.1%, belonged to the Swiss Reformed Church. A very small number of people, 70 individuals, were part of the Christian Catholic faith.

Changes to Municipalities
Sometimes, smaller towns or villages decide to join together to form a larger municipality. This is called a merger. Here are some changes that have happened in the Bremgarten District since the year 2000:
- In 2010, the village of Hilfikon became part of the municipality of Villmergen.
- On January 1, 2014, the former municipality of Hermetschwil-Staffeln joined with the municipality of Bremgarten (AG).
