Cheyres was a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Fribourg, near a beautiful lake. On January 1, 2017, Cheyres joined with another town called Châbles. Together, they formed a new municipality named Cheyres-Châbles.

History of Cheyres
Cheyres is an old place with a long history. We first find its name in old writings from the year 1230. Back then, it was known as Cheres.
