Corcelles-sur-Chavornay was once a small town, or 'municipality,' in Switzerland. Its name means 'Corcelles on Chavornay.' It was located in the Jura-Nord Vaudois area, which is part of the Vaud canton. In 2017, Corcelles-sur-Chavornay joined with another town called Essert-Pittet to become part of the larger municipality of Chavornay.

Corcelles-sur-Chavornay has a long history! It was first mentioned in official records way back in the year 885. Back then, it was known simply as Corceles.

Corcelles-sur-Chavornay covered an area of about 5.5 square kilometers (2.1 square miles) in 2009. A big part of this land, about 65.7%, was used for farming. Forests covered almost 30% of the area. The rest of the land had buildings, roads, or small rivers.

The town was located east of the Orbe river, sitting above the Orbe valley. Until 2006, it was part of the Orbe District. After that, it became part of the newer Jura-Nord Vaudois district.
