Cream soup facts for kids
A cream soup is a yummy kind of soup that uses cream, milk, or a mix of both as a main ingredient. Sometimes, the creamy part is added at the very end, especially after the soup has been blended smooth, or puréed.
Cream soups often start with a special base. This base can include things like onion, celery, garlic, butter, and flour. Then, liquids like milk, light cream, or chicken stock or vegetable stock are added. After that, different vegetables or meats are mixed in. It's a great way to use up leftover veggies and meats too!
