Jaime Aarón Munguía Escobedo (born October 6, 1996) is a famous Mexican professional boxer. He is known for his powerful punches and exciting fighting style. From 2018 to 2019, he was the champion of the WBO in the junior middleweight division. Jaime has fought in different weight classes, showing his skill and strength as he moved up.

Starting as a Professional Boxer
Jaime Munguía began his professional boxing career in 2013. He quickly became a strong fighter, winning 28 matches in a row without any losses. This amazing start led him to challenge for a world title.
Winning His First World Title
On May 12, 2018, Jaime Munguía faced American boxer Sadam Ali. Jaime won the fight, becoming the WBO junior middleweight champion. This was a huge moment in his career!
Defending His Junior Middleweight Title
After winning his first title, Jaime had to defend it against other strong boxers.
- Munguía vs. Smith: In his first defense on July 21, 2018, Jaime fought Liam Smith. Jaime won by a clear decision from the judges. He even knocked Smith down in the sixth round.
- Munguía vs. Cook: Jaime successfully defended his title again on September 15, 2018, against Brandon Cook. He won by a technical knockout in the third round. This fight was part of a big boxing event.
- Munguía vs. Hogan: On April 13, 2019, Jaime defended his title against Dennis Hogan. Jaime won this fight by a close decision.
- Munguía vs. Allotey: Jaime made his fifth successful defense on September 14, 2019. He defeated Patrick Allotey by technical knockout in the fourth round.

- Munguía vs. Johnson: On October 30, 2020, Jaime fought Tureano Johnson. Jaime won when the doctor stopped the fight in the sixth round because of a cut on Johnson's lip. After this win, Jaime said he wanted to fight for a world title in the middleweight division.
- Munguía vs. Szeremeta: Jaime fought Kamil Szeremeta on June 19, 2021. Jaime won when Szeremeta's corner stopped the fight after the sixth round. Jaime was ranked very high after this win.

- Munguía vs. Rosado: On November 13, 2021, Jaime defended his WBO Inter-Continental middleweight title against Gabriel Rosado. Jaime won the fight by a unanimous decision from the judges. He landed many more punches than Rosado.
- Munguía vs. Kelly: Jaime fought Jimmy Kelly on June 11, 2022. Jaime knocked Kelly down three times before the referee stopped the fight in the fifth round. After the fight, Jaime said he wanted to challenge Jermall Charlo for a world title.

- Munguía vs. Ryder: On January 27, 2024, Jaime fought British boxer John Ryder. Jaime won the fight by technical knockout in the ninth round.
- Munguía vs. Álvarez: A very big fight for Jaime was on May 4, 2024, when he challenged fellow Mexican superstar Canelo Álvarez. This was for all the major super middleweight titles. Canelo knocked Jaime down in the fourth round, which was the first time Jaime had ever been knocked down in his career. Canelo won the fight by a unanimous decision.
