About the Show

This show is all about food, friends, and fun! It's hosted by two well-known chefs, Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty. They share their love for cooking with everyone.

The show takes place at Jamie and Jimmy's Cafe. This cafe is at the very end of Southend Pier. Southend Pier is the longest pleasure pier in the whole world! Jamie and Jimmy get help in the cafe from Kerry-Anne. She used to be one of Jamie's students.

Every week, a famous guest visits the cafe. They join Jimmy and Jamie to cook a special recipe. This recipe is often one that means a lot to the guest. The show's team works hard to make sure the dish tastes just like the guest remembers.

Some people thought the cafe was just a TV set. But it's a real cafe! It was open before a big fire in 2005. That fire damaged many parts of the pier. Luckily, the cafe building survived. It reopened in 2006. Now, the cafe is used for filming the show for about two weeks each year. The people you see eating in the cafe are real members of the public. They apply to be on the show as diners.

Jamie's Weekend Recipe

In every show, Jamie cooks a special recipe for the weekend. These dishes are often filmed outside the cafe. Sometimes, he even cooks near his portable pub, 'The Cock In Cider'. In earlier seasons, some of these recipes came from his cookbook, 'Jamie's Comfort Food'.

Celebrity Guest Recipe

A famous person comes to the cafe each week. They help Jamie and Jimmy cook a recipe they love. This recipe usually has a special meaning from their life. Jamie's team makes sure the recipe is just right.

The Food Fight Mission

Jamie and Jimmy also work to help with food issues. They call this their "Food Fight" mission. In the first season, they tried to bring back old, forgotten UK recipes. From the second season onwards, they focused on stopping food waste. They show how to use food wisely and avoid throwing it away.

Jimmy's DIY Food Build

Jimmy loves to build things! In each episode, he shows viewers how to make their own cooking equipment. These parts of the show are filmed at Jimmy's Farm in Essex. From season 4, he started focusing on cooking with wild foods.
