Kevin Alan Holland (born November 5, 1992) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He is known for competing in the Welterweight and Middleweight divisions. Kevin fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is a major mixed martial arts organization. He started his professional career in 2015. Before joining the UFC, he also fought for other groups like Bellator MMA and King of the Cage.

About Kevin Holland
His Early Life
Kevin Holland was born in Riverside, California. He grew up mostly with his grandparents in Rancho Cucamonga and Ontario. When he was 16 years old, Kevin started training in martial arts. He was a big fan of the famous fighter Georges St-Pierre. Kevin loved the UFC after watching UFC 100 for the first time.
Becoming a Professional Fighter
Kevin Holland began his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) journey in 2015. Before that, he had a great amateur record of 5 wins and no losses. He fought in different organizations like Xtreme Knockout and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Kevin built up a strong record of 12 wins and 3 losses. This impressive start helped him get noticed by the UFC.
Joining the UFC
Kevin got his chance to join the UFC through Dana White's Contender Series. He won his fight there by a unanimous decision. Even though he didn't get a contract right away, the UFC invited him to fight at UFC 227.
UFC Fights: 2018-2019
Kevin made his first UFC appearance on August 4, 2018. He faced Thiago Santos and lost the fight. However, he quickly bounced back. In November 2018, he won his next fight against John Phillips by submission.
In 2019, Kevin continued to fight in the UFC. He won two fights by decision against Gerald Meerschaert and Alessio Di Chirico. Later that year, he faced Brendan Allen and lost by submission.
UFC Fights: 2020
The year 2020 was a very busy and successful one for Kevin. He won five fights in a single calendar year, which tied a UFC record!
- He started by winning against Anthony Hernandez with a technical knockout.
- He then defeated Joaquin Buckley with a knockout, earning him a Performance of the Night award.
- Kevin also won a split decision against Darren Stewart.
- He had another Performance of the Night win against Charlie Ontiveros.
- To cap off the year, he knocked out Ronaldo Souza in the first round. This fight also earned him a Performance of the Night award.
UFC Fights: 2021-2022
In 2021, Kevin faced tough opponents. He lost decisions to Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori. In October 2021, his fight against Kyle Daukaus was declared a "no contest" because of an accidental clash of heads.
In 2022, Kevin moved down to the Welterweight division.
- He won his first welterweight fight against Alex Oliveira by technical knockout, earning another Performance of the Night award.
- He then won against Tim Means by submission, getting his fifth Performance of the Night award.
- Later, he faced Khamzat Chimaev in a special catchweight fight and lost.
- His fight against Stephen Thompson was a thrilling one, earning Fight of the Night honors, though Kevin lost after his corner stopped the fight.
UFC Fights: 2023-2025
Kevin continued to compete in 2023.
- He knocked out Santiago Ponzinibbio in April.
- In July, he won against Michael Chiesa by submission, earning his sixth Performance of the Night award.
- He then lost a close split decision to Jack Della Maddalena.
In 2024, Kevin faced Michael Page and lost by unanimous decision. He then had a great comeback win against Michał Oleksiejczuk by armbar submission, earning another Performance of the Night award. Later that year, he lost to Roman Dolidze due to a corner stoppage.
In 2025, Kevin fought Reinier de Ridder and lost by submission.
Amazing Things Outside the Ring
Kevin Holland is not just a fighter in the cage; he's also a hero in real life!
- In October 2021, he helped stop a person who was trying to steal a car in his neighborhood. Kevin chased the person down and held them until the police arrived.
- In March 2022, Kevin and his training partner helped stop a shooting at a restaurant in Houston, Texas. They heard a shot and saw a person with a weapon. Kevin helped take the gun away and held the person until help arrived.
- In May 2022, Kevin rescued a driver from an overturned truck. He saw the truck crash and quickly got out of his car to help the driver escape from the vehicle, which was leaking fluid.
