History of Indian Football
Football has been played in India for a long time. The Indian Football Association (IFA) was started way back in 1893 in a city called Calcutta. This shows how early football began to grow in India.
How Indian Football Leagues Work
India has different football leagues, just like other countries. These leagues help teams compete and grow. The All India Football Federation created the National Football League in 1996. This was a big step for Indian football.
The I-League
The I-League is one of India's top football leagues. It was started in 2006 and currently has 14 clubs. These clubs play against each other to see who is the best team in India!
